Groww — Refund back my INR 7080/-

Dear Groww,

I am writing this mail in reference to the amount deducted because of groww's fault and no response from your side.

My SIPs were scheduled for the month of November for 1st november 2021, but it is really inconvenient when groww has tried deducting the amount on 28-29th oct 2021 i.e. two to three days prior to the date when the SIP was actually scheduled.

It has never happened before for the previous couple of months and this is the first time I am seeing that SIPs are called to the back through the ACH mandate before a couple of days from the actual date. There is no information mentioned in the groww platform or my profile that this is the procedure and the groww customer helpline is also doing no help to that.

Since I am a salaried employee I don't expect the SIPs to be deducted on the same month i.e. on 1st october (for the month of october) and on 28th-29th october (for the month of november). This has led to bounce of SIP because of groww's fault and has led to deduction of INR 7080/- (i.e. 24 sip * 295 bounce charges) by the back from my account

While contacting the bank, they already informed me twice through written communication that groww sip is scheduled on 1st of every month but still groww has tried deducting the SIP three days prior to actual date which is completely wrong. Therefore, the bank has asked to me to claim the same refund from the service provider i.e. groww in this case. Moreover, groww customer care has also confirmed that the SIPs were scheduled on 1st of november and it is therefore not the correct practice to deduct the amount prior to that date.

Since, you have known the whole issue and also know that no fault is on my side, rather it's the fault of the groww to try deducting the amount before SIP date for this month. Since such issues have never happened in the past, groww is requested to kindly understand the loss I have faced and refund back the same amount of INR 7080/- to my account which is mentioned in my groww profile dashboard already.

I am attaching all the relevant proofs and documents for your kind reference and hope that the issue shall be resolved and refund of the amount shall be done from your side at the earliest or else, I have to take relevant actions for the same.
