1. I have taken a home loan of Rs 23 lacs from HDFC Ltd vide case File No .[protected] in Sep 2016. I have been charged interest rate from 10% to 9.20% ie Maximum and Minimum rate during Sep 16 to Mar 22.
2. Now during Mar 22, while looking the state of present position of my loan account, I found that there exist a provision of "conversion Inquiry" by choosing the system I have to pay a fee of Rs 1440 and my interest rate will be reduced to 6.95 % from 9.20% which is being charged as of date.
3. I was not aware about such provision. HDFC Ltd never informed me about this practice. Now I feel aggrieved and cheated by loaning agency.
4. As it is evident that I have been charged 10% interest on home loan and my other friend told me it is much higher side but I paid because I presumed that bank can not go against Govt policy. During covid 19 period also I managed to pay the instalments.
5. Now my submission is that if there is a provision to reduce interest rate on home loan from 10% to 6.95%, it should be automatically by loaning agency. There should not be any option of consent from customer.
No customer will deny reduction of interest rate. If there is any charg es as per govt polcy, it should be automatically charged with information to customer.
6. Now I request that HDFC Ltd be directed to review the interest rate of my home loan account No[protected] &[protected]Insurance of home loan) from beginning and credit the excess amount charged from me.
