This is regarding policy no. 17162877 which i took from hdfclife. This is ulip based policy. For this policy i have an annual premium which i have been paying each year for past 6 years. Currently due to corona, i am in need of money and since this policy is mutual find linked, i am afraid that i will loose the entire amount that i have been saving. It is already down 10% and i am already in great loss.
I have been dropping mails to them for surrender and have deposited all the documents/information that is required to discontinue the policy and issue me refund for my money.
By policy, post 5 years i can surrender the policy and the return should be processed inside a day.
Currently it is almost a week. There is no response on my email on surrender request post submitting document. There customer care help line is closed and nobody picks up call after waiting for 2 hours too.
This policy being linked to mutual fund, the value of my refund is decreasing with there delay in response as the market is unstable currently. Was this information helpful? |
