Many of the new regulations from IRDA have come into existence too late because even the officials at IRDA were caught unaware when they first approved the product for sale. Aviva didn't follow the norms in several fronts and surprisingly, IRDA did not take any action against them I am not sure if IRDA lacks the will to take action or is something more! Even to this day there are many policyholders that haven't understood product, the proposal form, the benefit illustration, the contract, the policyholder's rights............ As a first step I would ask all policyholders to read through the sales literature that had been provided prior to the date of commencement of your policy and secondly read the policy schedule and the terms & conditions. As a second step go through all the communications of policy servicing, sent by Aviva. From the two steps I will be able to guide you on the doubts or we will be able to nail the Unfair Trade Practices of Aviva. Please step forward to contact me by writing to :- policyholder [DOT] issues [AT] gmail [DOT] com Was this information helpful? | |||
