Formal Complaint against HealthSpring
I applied for both myself and my husband on line to switch medicare part d plans. My husband received his health spring prescription drug plan - Member ID [protected]. I did not receive my health spring prescription plan card.
Instead I received a letter from health spring dated 11/20/25. I called on 11/24/25 and spoke to member of your organization. The individual I spoke with said that they need my medicare #. I gave him my medicare #. He said everything was okay and I should be receiving my prescription plan letter in the mail. He stated he had no other questions and I was enrolled. The phone conversation is on your computer.
Then I got a letter dated 12/12/25 which was received by me on 12/20/25. This letter stated that since I didn't get the information requested by deadline that I was not accepted. I called on 12/20/25 spoke to lots of people and finally a supervisor who stated that I should call Social Security and see if they can enroll me after the deadline.
I called Social Security who informed me that Health Spring is at fault and that I should file a formal complaint.
In summary,
1-- I filed timely in requesting enrollment in Health Spring,
2--Called on 11/24/25 to answer questions and was told that I was enrolled and that was all you needed.
3--Supervisor stated the notes show that I called on 11/24/25.
4--Received letter on 12/12/25 stating that I was not enrolled. I was told that Health Springs does accept PO Boxes. This is false as my husbands new cards and policy came to our PO Box. This is how we get our mail and my husband's enrollment went thru fine and his was with PO Box.
5--Called Social Security per supervisors instructions and they stated that Health Spring is at fault since my application was not even logged in and therefore they could not do anything.
6---Social Security told to file a formal complaint 7--Called 12/23/25 to talk with a supervisor and was routed all over the organization from enrollment to customer service. After spending over 1 hour the supervisor hung up on me. Was this information helpful? |
