Hitachi Air Conditioning India Limited — Hitachi 2.0 TR 5 Star Inverter Split AC

I ordered a 2-Ton Hitachi Split Air Conditioner on 21 June 2022 through one of the Hitachi dealers in Chennai. I had originally requested the model RMB524HBEA. The dealer offered me another model RMB524HBEAG instead, assuring me that this latter model is identical to the former in performance except for the absence of a blue line that is merely cosmetic. I accepted his word and went ahead with the purchase. The unit was delivered and installed on 25th June 2022.

Immediately after installation we found the noise level of the indoor unit too loud. At over 65dBA, it was much louder than a 10-year old Voltas 2 ton Air conditioner and a 4-year old 2 Ton OG Air Conditioner that we have. We promptly complained to the dealer. As specified in the Terms and Conditions of the Warranty, I also registered the complaint on 28th June using the Hitachi India Customer Care App. I got an acknowledgement with SR number [protected] along with a happy code to share with the engineer. However, since there was no response after that I kept escalating the matter in the Hitachi App. Whenever I escalate the matter, I receive a nice assurance that my complaint will be attended to immediately. But nothing happens beyond that. During the last few days I have been calling their Customer Care number for help. I receive more assurances that a technician will attend to us within 24 hours, but no action happens.
Meanwhile, the air conditioner has stopped cooling adequately for the last 10 days. I did not expect such a poor customer service from Hitachi. How can we get them to send a technician? It has been four weeks since I complained!
