We had ordered modular kitchen from HomeTown express located at Old Madras Road, Bangalore on 28th September 2013 with order number [protected] that had cost us INR79000. At the time of placing the order, Mr.Balwan Sharma from the store committed to us that materials will be delivered positively within 15 days on 13th October 2013. The materials were finally delivered on 26th October after numerous follow-up calls and visits to the store with delivery challan number 9035340. Our ordeal does not end here.
Carpenters from hometown visited our place on 27th October and started installing the Modular Kitchen and after 2 days informed us that they have less material for 1 and half feet of skirting and they have forgotten to cover one portion under the sink. I wonder how could you miss to order materials for that in your design even after our approvals. Again our ordeal starts with n number of calls to the store and visits so that they deliver and fit the missing items by 10th November.
But our worst nightmare had not come to an end. Ours is a newly constructed apartment and we had not yet moved into our new flat. And even before using the kitchen, one overhead kitchen cabinet has fallen. It has come out from the wall totally. If we had been using the kitchen, it could have ended in a casualty.
We had thought we are saving our time by ordering at a futuregroup retail store. But now we want this nightmare to end somehow. It would have saved a lot of money if we had gone with a local carpenter. Was this information helpful? |
