I am Nagarajan aged 62 yrs and had gone to Homeocare International for treatment of Eczema. I am registered as BGTCJ-56. First a girl took details about my problem as is required for Case taking in Homeopathic practice and filled in the form. Later a lady came and cross verified the information that was jotted down by the girl earlier and asked me to wait in the reception where the medicines would be given. (Please note that I had no clue of who these people who took my case were).
Then the drama unfolded. A representative came and said that the treatment package would be for a period of 1/2/3 years and would cost X/Y/Z Rupees and that the entire amount has to be paid upfront.
When I inquired why should I have to pay the entire amount in advance and as to why they cannot charge me for every visit (which would give me the freedom to either continue or discontinue based on the results/outcome of the treatment) they said that it is their policy. He explained that their treatment was based on constitutional cure and as such I could be rest assured that my overall health would improve with their treatment. He was also magnanimous to offer three instalments considering my age.
I was carried away by their sweet talk and made a down payment of Rs.7500.00 and waited downstairs for the medicines. A tincture was put on my tongue and a girl came up with a cover containing medicines and rattled out the modalities o[censored]se. After the first course of one week I went back to meet the doctor and get further medication as there was no improvement.
At the reception they inquired as to who was handling my case, and as I did not know their names that two women had taken my details. Then they revealed that it was one Dr. Kavitha who had prescribed the medicines and that my case would now be handled by Dr.Chandrasekhar Reddy.
I was ushered into the cabin where a doctor was sitting (I presumed him to be Dr.Chandrasekhar Reddy as I was informed at the reception that my case would be handled by him). This Doctor whom I came to understand later was Dr. Srinivas (none of the staff/doctors display their names on their coats nor on the door of their cabins).
He reviewed the case and made entries in the online case sheet, took snap shots of my skin condition and prescribed medication.
Instead of giving me relief, the skin condition aggravated and the itching grew to the extent that I got high temperature and could not tolerate it. Under the circumstances, I called up the clinic and requested that I be put in touch with the doctor to enable me to get some relief from the aggravation.
The behavior of the staff was so abominable/abnoxious and irresponsive to the plight of my condition and refused to get me in touch with the Doctor nor provided me with his contact number (which they said they do not have in their records - which is very surprising). Finally, after much shouting and haggling they put me through to Dr. Chandrasekhar Reddy who heard my pleas but simply refused to suggest any remedy stating that he had not seen me and as the case was handled by Dr. Srinivas he has nothing to say. (This inspite of the fact that my case could be accessed in their systems including the medicine that I was prescribed as per the case record).
As my condition was unbearable, my family took me immediately to Dr. Mukesh Raj (Dermatologist) at Himayathnagar at 9:00 PM and got me examined and got prescriptions for treatment.
It is two weeks now that I am under Allopathic treatment and I have got 90% relief from the skin condition.
In view of the unprofessional handling of my case and the mental and physical torture I had to go through, I demand that the money paid by me in advance be refunded after adjustment towards the consultation charges and medication given to me. Was this information helpful? |
