Honda Cars India Ltd. — Pathetic Service from Sundaram Honda - Chennai

Hi,

In line with the above subject i would like to share my experience with Sundaram Honda on their service provided to me.

On 10th of Dec 2016 i left my Honda City 1.5 SV (Petrol) car for the routine service. (you can collect my service details from you database. Till date from the purchase the car has been serviced only in Honda Authorised service center Sundaram Honda and Once in Olympia Honda).

One of the complaint was Rattling Noise from the dashboard and other one was issues in Brake.

The car was taken by Madasamy (service advisor from Sundaram Honda) for the service. For braking issue he told me that Front Disc Plates and Brake pads has been worn out and that was causing the problem. He confirmed by replacing both will arrest the problem. He costed me around 10K for the discs and brake pads, The total service charges was 17K+ and i took my car paying the amount.

Post service i noticed below issues :

Noise from the brake while applying brake,
Outside temperature Sensor not working
Outside temperature Sensor cap came out of the fixing and it was loose
AC is not working at 24 degree
I called the service adviser to quote the above complaints where i confirmed to fix all the issues. Hence i gave my car on 27th for the service. I told him very specifically about the point 3 and it needs to be fixed not pasted. I received a call from Madasamy yday stating there is a rat bitten in the wiring and hence the AC and sensor issue which point 2 & 4. I questioned when there was Rat Rodent treatment was done on 10th Dec service how come there was rat bitten on the wire. He gave me many reason like rain and cyclone. There has never been such an incident till now from the date of purchase of my car. Though i said it fine u can repair it where he billed 1400 rs for the entire service.

Yday evening around 3 pm i recvd the car stating all the problems has been fixed. When i did the test drive i see point 1 is not resolved at all. And to my surprise point 3 was also not resolved and the have pasted the sensor cap. I have attached the pictures of the same. I immediately called the CRM and complained about the issue and returned my car for his investigation. I specifically told him to replace the disc brake and fix the sensor cap properly. He assured me that all my issues will be fixed and get back to me.

Today around 2 pm i got a call from Madasamy (when the issue is escalated to CRM i dont understand why madasamy called me for the status) stating disc plates has bee repaired not replaced. Also he said the sensor unit has to be replaced and it will cost 3700 rs.

I told all these issues occurred only after my 10th Dec service and y shud i borne the cost.He was repeatedly defending his points. I was totally frustrated the way he responded and not showing any customer service at all. He, Hari and Swaminathan was trying to stand on his points like

Point 1 : Disc plates and brakes pad cannot be replaced
Point 3 : Sensor cap can be only pasted and shall not be fixed properly.

I have clarifications and questions on the below points.

For point 1 : If the disc plates and brake pads are replaced only few days back why it cant be replaced on customer complaint inspite of giving them a chance to service it. As a customer i have to feel 200% comfortable since the issue is on brakes. I dont want to compromise/face any issues on brakes since it directly related to my life while iam on wheel. I believe i have all the rights to claim for replacement of a unsatisfied product which has been replaced by sundaram few days back.

For Point 3 : I dont want the sensor cap to be pasted since its of not my mistake. I can see the cap coming out only after their service.

For the above points i cant convince unless my requests are responded.

In case if not, i would be sharing my concern to my corporate office advising them not to deal with Honda Cars and Sundarama honda.for service.

I will also share my experience in Socail media as well.

On top of that i will not get my car back from Sundaram Honda unless my issues are resolved.

I can share more details on this over the call.since i have lot more to share.

I lodged a comaplint in Honda Customer care yday around 3 pm and No one has contacted me from Honda side till now where in i called them again today. They advised that there will be call back in 24 to 48 hrs.
