[Resolved] Honda Motorcycles And Scooters India Pvt. Ltd. — Damaged part not replaced | |||||
I had purchased a Honda Activa 3G on 08.01.2016 from Todi Honda Kolkata. On the day of delivery, I went to the showroom of the dealer to take it. But they told that I have to go to their godown to take delivery. I refused to go to the godown as I had to go to office. They assured that I could take the delivery from the showroom at evening, which I agreed to. But when I went there to take the delivery in the evening they told me that the person who brings the scooter /bikes from the godown to the showroom had not come. When I insisted on taking delivery of the scooty on that day itself, they requested me take delivery of a scooty that was on display in the showroom. There were scratch marks on the body of the scooty(photo attached ). They assured me that they will replace the damaged part later and one Mr.Shiv also wrote on the challan to replace that part by the wokshop (photo attached ). I took delivery of a damaged product on their assurance. But when I went to the workshop for servicing, I showed them the challan. The Works Manager told me that they will not replace the part and also told me the person in the showroom does not have any authority to issue such instruction. Today I went to the showroom to get the damaged part replaced. But they told me they have to keep the scooty and send it to their workshop in Manicktala to get it repaired. The part can't be replaced now as the part of that colour is not available now. I can't keep the scooty for even a day, as I don't have any faith in you. I believed the word of the showroom person at the time of taking the delivery and took the damaged product. Now they are harassing me. I had made several complaints to customer care of Honda motorcycle and scooter (Ticket Numbers-1-[protected], 1-[protected], . 1-[protected]). But my complaint has not been resolved till now.I have paid thr price for a new product but I recived a damaged product. I have gone to the service centre for 2nd free servicing on 07.05.2016. On 26.04.2016 somebody from Honda Kolkata office called me from the number [protected] and told that the damaged part will be replaced on the day of 2nd free servicing and told me to contact either Mr Prashant or Mr Kunal and the needful will be done. But today when I told Mr Prashant to replace the damaged part, he told me that I have to leave the scooter for 3 days at the service centre to get the part painted. When I told him to replace the part, he told that for that also I have to leave my scooter for 3 days at the service centre as the body part comes unpainted to them. When I told him to get a part painted and inform me, so that I can get the damaged part replaced as and when they inform me. But he told me that he can't do it and told me to contact sales office.I can't leave the scooter for 3 days at the work shop.I am not ready to leave the scooter at the dealer's end, as I don't believe them.Why I am being harassed for no fault of mine.
