Honda — Very Poor service, Out of 2 year 7 months my car is in Service centre, escalated still no response from Honda India

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is serious escalation (2nd mail) mail to Honda India after repeatedly facing issues with my Honda Amaze car.

I am Anurag Walse, Owner of Honda Amaze (Model SMT), purchased in October 2018 (then Ethix Honda, Pune, Maharashtra) Vehicle registration No – MH 12 QY 2357.

Brief background -
My car was submerged in Flood water in month of August 2019, I surrendered by car to Honda Service Center, Pune (Garve Honda, Khadki) on 2nd of August and it took 4 and half months to repair and delivered back to me, because I had escalated this delay to Honda India at that time I could get my car repaired in 4 and half month, I don’t know If I wouldn’t have escalated it would have went for 6 or 7 months.

Even after 4 and half months of repairing I am repeatedly facing lot of issues every 2-3 months –
Floor wet issue due to AC leakage – It took 2 weeks to repair (Around month of Dec. Jan[protected]
Gear knob wire issue – It took 3-4 weeks to repair (In June-July 2020)
Now again in Nov. 2020 – Clutch release bearing issue
Gear shifting issue

This is repeatedly happening even after so many commitments during flood repair and after that as well and it is seriously affecting my personal as well as financial life. In last 6 months I had to shell out 40, 000 due to this Honda car along with my several personal losses. This is the 3rd time my car broke down when I travelled to other city Latur (surrendered car in Kaizen Honda, Latur, Maharashtra), Here it rook again 3-4 weeks to repair and with no surprise from Honda they could not resolve Gear shifting issue and asked us to collect car from 375km from my town. With this issue I had to drive back to Pune. This I had already conveyed during repair in Latur Honda service centre and warned to Pune Garve Honda Manager & Lature Service manager as well that I don’t want to again keep my car in Garve Service centre for another 1 month for this issue.

During this pandemic situation I had to travel back with Local Bus & 2nd time by Local taxi with my family which would have cost me alot and family with sever consequences if something would have went wrong.

Now today it is 4th Nov 2021, with no surprise again Honda Service manager told me it will take more 10 days to receive a part (ring tapper) which Rs. 75 worth from Singapore which is simply ridiculous & on top of this - To understand that this part is not available in India, Honda Service center consumed 2 weeks & then ordered part from Singapore last week.

This is sheer ignorance, lack of credibility and responsibility towards a customer who is already severely suffering from Honda car which is known and reputed for its quality & manufacturing in the world. & my car is in Service center for 6 and half months in 2 years when I bought in 2018

Whenever I get into Honda authorised service centre for repairing it takes minimum 3-4 weeks to get it repaired due to unavailability of parts, even wear-tear parts like clutch bearings etc. (Worth Rs. 700-1000 and now a part of 75 Rupees).

I have always received one answer from Honda Service centre that it might be because either flood background or these wear & tear parts. And let me tell you that car has running of total 4000 KM.

So where is Honda credibility here when it took 4 and half months to repair and costs Rs. 3, 10, 000 If it is always flood issue or wear-tear even after 1 year of repair ?? And Honda authorised service centre has no answer to this except putting it onto flood background. On contrary Honda service manager clearly told me & confirmed that – Honda has checked all the mechanical parts and there is no damage to any of the mechanical parts of vehicle and no need of change as well ex. Gear box, engine & all other mechanical parts. (During 4 months repair and after 200 Km of vehicle trails)

Why always customer has to be at receiving end giving such reasons especially when car has very minimal run???

Every 3-4 months my car is at service centre for minimum of 3 weeks then please let me know what benefit I am getting choosing & buying Honda Car over others. I purchased it because of Quality & customer satisfaction that this Japanese company offers. But here I and my family are totally dissatisfied with this Honda & the service provided by Honda authorised service provider.

I have also asked to check all Flood related document & repairing done in that 4 months, but its 2 weeks they are not unable to find it giving reasons of – Authorised service Center change from Ethix Honda to Garve Honda.

Now I really don’t trust Honda or Honda service centre that it will not happen next time and it will continue hereafter for every 3-4 months.

I need written & firm answer from Honda India within next 1 week or else I will have to again escalate this further and take my next step.
