I had purchased a HTC Desire 826 costing 26000/- in the month of April this year. Within 2 months, the touch panel function and speaker of the cell stopped working. I visited the customer centre and after 15 days of good fight with those people I somehow managed to get a replacement of my phone. Again within 6 months, the replaced cell was not getting charged (Even after charging for hours). I went to the centre and was informed that there is some problem in the lower board or mother board and the cell needs to be repaired. Moreover, in 4 months’ time the warranty of the cell will lapse and the phone might demand huge expenses for repair again which i don’t wish to incur for such a low and bad quality product.
I have demanded a refund for the phone or at least a replacement of my cell with an extended warranty, since this was the 2nd time I faced another major issue with my phone within 8 months only.
The reply even after escalating the matter from escalation team of HTC was and I quote – “ The phone will only be repaired and there will be no refund or replacement and no warranty will be extended for 1 year. It is your problem that you have purchased this cell.”
After spending a good amount on their products, this is the kind of response and service you receive from their end. So beware and buy HTC products at your own risk... Was this information helpful? |
