HTC India — Manufacturing defect & no replacement | |||
I purchased a new mobile on 15th Jan for my daughter. on sunday 29th Jan, it developed an issue with it's camera and it produces whirring sounds when we try to click a photo. I went to the retailer, from whom i bought this mobile, yesterday and he asked me to visit your service station which unfortunately was already closed at 6:30 PM. When i visited HTC service station today they put me to their call center. The person on line told me that i have crossed the 14 day period wherein i'm not illegible to get a replacement. Today morning was the 16th day of my purchase out of which they were closed for 3 days. So effectively i get only 11 days. I've been an HTC fan but i'm seriously doubting their sales/ replacement policy. The service station guys and the retailer both acknowledged that it was a manufacturing defect and still i'm being told that it will be repaired and not replace and that too the timeline will be advised in 2-3 days. It's ridiculous that a mobile company expects it's customer to be without a mobile while they decide what the next course of action will be. Was this information helpful? | |||
