HTC — unable to use micro sd card, unable to activate call forwarding

I purchased HTC desire 816 G dual SIM on Jan 16, 2015. Even after getting in touch with online support I could not use micro SD card . I did whatever I was advised. It appears now root access is required which is not there. I am unable to activate auto forwarding also.
