Hush Puppy — Sandals and fisherman's sandal

The sole of a sandal I purchased disintegrated though it was used sparingly. The stiches of a fisherman's sandal also opened up. The sole of another sandal also disintegrated a few years ago, but I thought it was due to some fault of mine. Now I know that hush puppy sandals are of poor quality. The salesmen of the outlets where I had purchased told me that these sandals are to be used regularly or they get damaged on their own. Well, it is not possible to wear sandals with every type of clothing. So this sounds a very lame excuse for a poor quality product.
