IDBI Bank — during the medical emergency account has not unfreeze

Have very bad experience with idbi since yesterday night, i’ve medical emergency since last 5 days and yesterday i’ve to deposit 43000 rs.in hospital and for that i’ve borrowed the money from my friend and he has deposited the amount in my account around 2-3 pm (31st oct), now idbi’s pathetic way of working start here.

1. Neither i can transfer the amount in any other account nor i can withdraw it from atm which my friend has deposited in my account for my medical emergency.

2. Have called your customer care to check the reason of non-withdrawal although i’ve money in my account and your executive replied me that idbi has not able to give any account related details from 9:30 pm to 7 am (Except balance enq. / card hot listing – only limited services are available in night between 9:30 pm to 7 am), at that time i really don’t know what to do and where i’ve to go to check that why i’m unable to withdraw my own money from my bank account because your customer care replied me that he has unable to provide the details between 9:30 pm to 7 am.

3. Have request him to help me and give me the reason that why i can’t withdraw my own money as i’ve medical emergency and i’ve to despite the money in hospital but he can’t help me because of his designation & system’s limitations, post that conversion i’ve asked him to transfer the call with any senior person or supervisor or manager, here he has helped me and he has transferred the call with any upper level fellow.

4. That senior fellow have helped me and he has checked the reason behind this non-withdrawal / online transfer issue, he has informed me that my account got freeze due to kyc.

5. That time i’ve asked him that why sudden account got freeze and why idbi has not intimate me that my account will get freeze if i’ll not submit the kyc within the given tat, he couldn’t give me reply on this.

6. After that i’ve request him like a beggar for my own money from my own bank account that i’ve medical emergency so please help me, i’ve also ready to submit the aadhar card number which customer care’s ivr asked when we’ve dialed the customer care number but he told me that he can’t help me in this matter and i’ve to go at my home branch only and submit the kyc document and after submitting it my account will get unfreeze within 4-5 working days!!! And that is the only way to get my account unfreeze.

7. After all this conversion i went at hospital and have explained the entire situation to hospital authority, after listening my issue they get agreed and given me the one day time to deposit the money in the hospital.
Above mentioned things (1 – 7) has happened on 31st oct.

8. Next day means today (1st nov) i went at idbi c. G. Road branch and submitted the required kyc documents and again request like beggar that i’ve medical emergency so please help me to unfreeze my account at your help counter (3rd counter in right side after entering in bank at c. G. Road brach) but the lady who has sitting there (For collecting and updating the kyc in system) told me that she already has the 50-60 forms of kyc so she can’t do anything in this matter and she tried to get this done by tomorrow eod (2nd nov), her reply / tone is very lethargic and it seems like she really don’t want to help me although i’ve explained her my medical emergency condition.

9. After that i’ve went with branch manager mr. Shrinivas (My account home branch – c. G. Road ahmedabad), have explained him the entire situation and again i’ve requested like a bagger for my own money from my own account, he has given me the commitment that he tried to unfreeze the account today eod but only after 5 to 5:30 pm he can try for it, amazing patient / hospital has to wait till 5 to 5:30 until mr. Shrinivas gets free from his routine tasks!!!

10. At the day end still my account is freeze and i can’t withdraw / online transfer my money.

Now please tell me if hospital authority denied me tonight (1st nov) as i can’t deposit money for operation again because of idbi’s process and anything will happened with patient then who is responsible??

Neither i’ve received any communication from idbi that my account will get freeze if i’ll not submit the kyc nor i’ve received any call, then how can the idbi immediately freeze my account.

Suppose i’ve received the communication which has mentioned above (Which actually i’ve not received) but due to my hospitalization i couldn’t submit it then it means that idbi can do anything with his customer’s account???

Furthermore if account is freeze then why only withdrawal has freeze, why idbi haven’t restrict the deposition as well for freeze account?? Idbi has not denied in deposition because that money will utilized to giving the loan and etc and idbi can use that money as income resource, if account is freeze then both mode of transactions should get stop as mentioned below :
1. Deposition
2. Withdrawal

But idbi has stop the withdrawal facility only, deposition facility is active in idbi strange!!!

Please provide the concrete reason that why the idbi bank has only stop the withdrawal facility and why deposition has not stop in freeze account, if deposition has also stop in freeze account then my fried has come to know it when he has reached the idbi bank (Ashram road branch) to deposit the money in my account and if deposition has also stop in freeze account then idbi staff who has depute that to collect the money inform him that the account in which you’re going to deposit the money is freeze and you can’t deposit the money in this account, if deposition facility has stop in freeze account that time then immediately my friend could informed me about the freeze status of my account and we’ll take another way to convey the money with me in hospital.

Furthermore i’ve interact with idbi’s 4 different people and to each of them i’ve requested like bagger that i need the money as i’ve to submit the amount in hospital and i’ve already submitted the kyc as well as per requirement so now please unfreeze my account on priority but none of them have helped me including the branch manager as well who committed me that he’ll try to unfreeze it by his own free time!!!

Please tell me any bank’s process is more important or any patients medical emergency is more important when your customer requesting at your customer care and at your branch and to your branch manager for his own money in medical emergency condition???

I’ve documented all this stuffs because if anything will happen with the patient then i’ll take very strong legal action against the idbi as idbi bank which has not release my own money from my account as i’ve the responsibility to take care of my family and i’ve done it well as i’ve borrowed the amount from my friend which is required in my medical emergency condition and he has deposited it in my idbi account but because of idbi’s so called kyc process that money i can’t withdraw from my account and can’t deposit in hospital on time even though i’ve requesting to idbi as much as i can do since yesterday night.

Again please remember that if anything will happen to the patient then i’ll also share both things 1. The call recording of idbi customer care call which i’ve made on 31st and 2. This mail in social media, with news channels / and other media and with idbi’s top management that since yesterday night i’ve been knocked at all doors of idbi and struggling to get my own money from my account after submitting the required kyc documents but none of them (Idbi staff) have helped me, just because of idbi bank which has freeze my account without any prior communication / notice of freezing the account if i’ll not submit the kyc within timeline and idbi has only freeze withdrawal facility deposition facility has not stop by idbi, just because of in idbi bank my money got stuck and i can’t withdraw it from my account when i’ve really need it in my medical emergency condition and i can’t complete my family responsibility of medical emergency as my money got stuck in idbi and bank has not release it even though i’ve submit the required kyc documents in home branch.

I also that should we take government / take public support to file the strong case against idbi and take strong legal actions against the idbi???

As a banker if bank wants to freeze the account then bank should stop both transaction mode, withdrawal mode as well as deposition mode but idbi has stop only the withdrawal mode in my account, deposition mode has not stopped by idbi, if deposition mode has stop along with withdrawal mode and your cashier has informed my friend that he couldn’t deposit the money in my account because its freeze by bank then we both could get aware that my account has freeze due to so n so reason and i’ve to take the hard cash from my friend instead of account deposition during my medical emergency time but idbi intentionally not stop the deposition facility, idbi has only stop the withdrawal facility so bank can utilize customer’s fund for their own income resource like lending it as a loan and ect and definitely there are crores of people whose only withdrawal facility has stop by idbi due to various reasons & deposition facility is still active in all account even though the kyc submission or any other dead line has crossed and this kind of way has used by idbi intentionally to utilize customer’s funds.
