Hello
I am writing this email with great disappointment and disgust about the FRAUD and MIS-SELLING being done by IDFC First bank employees. I had filled out an online form at IDFC bank website for home loan services. The customer care of IDFC connected me with loan executive Mr. Mehruddin ([protected]) and manager Mr. Aman Seth ([protected]).
I was asked to submit a list of documents to support my application and an IMD cheque of Rs. 3540. Mr. Mehruddin specifically told me that the cheque will be used only for the formality of getting the application file logged in with the bank's system. Also, the status of application will be kept as property not identified for checking my eligibility for loan. The deduction will ONLY happen when the property is identified and the legal and technical process is complete. As of now, the meeting with credit manager MR. Prateek ([protected]) is pending in my application, clearly the application has not progressed yet.
To my astonishment, I received the deduction SMS from my bank that the cheque no. 000064 of Rs. 3540 has been paid on 10 November 2022.
This is a clear mis-representation of facts and FRAUD by IDFC First bank's employees to meet their monthly sales target and dupe innocent people.
When I confronted Mr. Mehruddin about this deduction on 10th november 2022, he assured me that the amount of INR 3540 will be transferred back to my account by him and he even showed me a screenshot of the failed transaction.
However, on 11 november 2022, Mr. Mehruddin completely changed his stance and bluntly refused to give any amount and even harassed me over the phone. He also added Mr. Aman Seth on the call to intimidate me with complex loan application details. Further, Mr. Aman made personal remarks that "I am acting CHEAP", "why I am crying over a measly sum of Rs. 3000", and "You should have been smart to know that nobody works for free."
In response, I warned both IDFC bank's executives that I will escalate this FRAUD case with higher authorities. Afterwards, Mr. Mehruddin called me back and offered me to take Rs. 1500 for settling the things down.
I am completely appalled by this unprofessional and unethical behavior of IDFC bank's employees. This is not acceptable from a reputable and nationalized bank like IDFC FIRST bank.
I have attached all documentary proof in this email. Further, I have all recorded voice conversations with Mr. Aman and Mr. Mehruddin, to substantiate the above statement.
I hope there are still some ethics left in the higher mettle of IDFC FIRST bank who are keen to address customer grievances and stop tainting IDFC's good name by in-house fraudsters and scamsters.
Hoping for some resolution!
Thanks
Ashish Jain
