[Resolved] Ifb Washing Machine, Hyderabad — IFB false claims 4 years 100% warranty | |||
I am from Nizampet, Hyderabad. I have purchased an IFB washing machine in March 2013. IFB claims the machine is under 100% warranty for 4 years. Recently we had experienced problem with the washing machine. Called service center on Sunday 22nd June, 2014 (service request number[protected]. The person named Basavayya attended for servicing on next day, 23rd evening (He was from M/s Surya associates offering services on behalf of IFB, Hyderabad) . He arranged a 3 way call with someone (who claimed from IFB customer care) and both parties said to pay the amount. I was not at home and my wife was alone at home so I have told her to pay amount and collect the bill to avoid further drama. After charging the amount, the service person also marked as one of the free service charge coupon as utilized. My complaint against M/S IFB they are cheating people by claiming that machine will be under 100% warranty for 4 years and still charging money for their services in warranty period. I want serious action to be taken against M/S IFB and their associate company for fooling people with the false claims. Thanks, Praveen Was this information helpful? | |||

IFB is a complete cheat. They should heavily penalized for doing this to the customers.

We would like to confirm to you that all our front loading washing machines have a 4 year 100% warranty, but the descale powder is a consumable item and hence is not covered under that warranty. We have fixed the drum rotation problem in your machine under warranty and your machine is now operating without any issue. The descale powder, however, needs to be purchased as per our regular pricing which is required to get rid of the scaling on the drum due to hard water.
We regret any inconvenience caused to you in this matter and assure you our best services

Just want to clarify that along with the washing machine I had bought equipment from IFB which your demo team suggested/recommended will help soften the hard water.
Now you say the problem is because of hard water? Does this mean IFB claim that the equipment will soften hard water is false?
When machine wheels gets stuck (in warranty period) you apply some powder to fix the problem and charge for that, still claim 100% warranty?

IFB washing machine false claims of fours yrs 100 percent warranty I have an IFB washing machine ticket [protected] with serial no .[protected] model Elena SX your technician came checked the machine and has raised a bill of 4000 rs for some part when checked its under warranty and we were told warranty only covers the motor till four yrs and entire machine is only covers for one yr is this true ?, machine bought on 10/12/13 is that what hundred percent warranty means ?
