Income Tax Department — Application for pan correction is pending for last 4 months

My Name is Mohit. I applied for PAN correction on 12th Jan 2017 with UTI.
My application for PAN Correction with application number[protected] is still under processing after 4 months with income tax department. However 2 of my friends applied for PAN correction in March 2017 and got their PAN Card in April 2017.
Why it is taking so long?
Could you confirm and let me know the response.

I am applied for new pan card because previous pan card no. AFAPL6881R was misplaced by at the time of travel So, i am recd. new pan card no. AOQPL4365M. Pls. cancel the pan card no. AFAPL6881R my name is JAWAHAR LAL

Knowledgment Number : [protected] Name :SHIVRAJ SINGH Category: Individual Status : Income Tax Department (ITD) database shows that you may have been issued PAN in your name. ITD yet to inform status of your application. Why NSDL shows my application status pending??
