Income Tax Department — Caterers are ignored under the purview of Income Tax

Catering is a promising business nowadays and those engaged in Catering services have made fortunes and fat profits.It is also a profession which helps earn but unjustified money.Caterers squeeze plumpy sum from those who enter into a contract with them.But, the caterers are ignored by the IT dept;No tax is levied on them.Today, all caterers lead luxurious life.They have amassed wealth disproportionately, but sadly, they are
enjoying a hassle- free life without the interference of the IT dept.Many of them have acquired large immovable properties worth of several crores.In Thiruvallur town, one lady named CHITRAROOPI who is doing a catering service, cheated my relative who performed her daughter's marriage, some few months back.Corona-19 was peak at that time with TN Govt's strict imposition of social displines.Marriage attendees were restricted to 50 only.Yet, the said caterer cheated my relative by 3.7 lakhs, whereas, the actual due to her was only below 1.5 lakhs.She squeezed Rs.5.2 lalks.There was a gang behind the caterer to support her and to threaten my relative.Like her, there are so many caterers in Chennai and TN to grab the opportunities and make money into several lakhs.e.g.Appu(a)Venkatara-

The parties booking the caterers should inform the IT dept. all the details specifically mentioning the actual amount paid to the caterers.There should not be any slackness and IT dept .should act upon them without any lenience or reservation.This may look a cumbersome process and if IT dept.frames suitable laws and guidelines, it will be a benevolent action.If done so, Centre will be benefitted with incredible crores of rupees as revenues.Will IT dept.act with confidence?
