[Resolved] Income Tax Department — initials not allowed

My name is k rajeev as many south indians have one or two initials before the name. But when i apply for a pan they say initials are not allowed. Then how can i apply for a pan. My all documents proof are with my real name k rajeev. They are forcing me to expand "k" for which i do not have any proof. This is the case of all south indians whose name is with initials. Where as for north indians their name are expanded and for convenience write with initials. Like sankar dayal sharma is s d sharma.
So how can it be set write.

Thank you for the response. This is not the case of me alone, this is the case of thousands of south Indians. Of course this not the case to be solved locally, the basic approach of the Income Tax Department towards the people having initials before their name. It is so simple that you can allow us to enter our name as it is like that of Aadhaar or voters Id or bank pass book or the SSLC certificate.
