I have applied for an update of my PAN card when I turned major from minor. The documents were received at Protean eGov (NSDL) on[protected]. Since then, the status shown is "document received, your application is under process with NSDL". Application acknowledgement no. is [protected].
Ideally, this is a small update of photo and signature only and takes barely 7 days. In my case, however, it is signficantly delayed. I have made 5 phone calls to NSDL (Protean) all center and written as many as 4 emails. However, their only standard reply is "we have forwarded your concern to the relevant department". There is no follow up done by these people on the escalation. 4 times the complaint has been escalated with ref nos.[protected], 41685753, 41748105 and 41779159, but no resolution is achieved.
The call center guys' standard response is - Sir, please wait. A process which should get completed in 7 days has taken 20 days, but no one is bothered about turnaround time. They are only making me write mails, tweet and now this complaint.
Hopefully, you will be able to help me get this resolved. My bank accounts will be siezed if I don't submit updated PAN. This is urgent. Please help!!
