Income Tax Department — refund in respect of my wife who is a housewife

It could be noted that income tax department is not in a mood to refund the the amount deducted from non taxable person. during the AY 2017-18 my the interest income was only 12966 and tax deducted 1298 but after filing return although refund claimed the order issued as with computation under 143(1) and the refund denied although the tax deduction was reflected in 26AS. It is really surprising to see the injustice towards a housewife and i suppose it is nothing but a mockery with tax payers who sincerely pay tax for the greater interest. Hope you will take proper action in this regard.
