IndiaBulls — Dhani - One freedom card subscription charges on deactivated plan

I installed Dhani app on April 2021 for trail. It asked me a lot of KYC documents. After KYC they given me credit line of 50k that I was not intended to use at all.
In May 2021, I found 900rs got deducted from my account as subscription charges .I called and emailed Dhani support to enquire the reason for 900rs debit from my account. It came as shock to me with out using any facility they charged me 900. Then I requested the support to cancel my plan on immediate affect. After few follow up support team responded saying as per your request your plan has been deactivated.
I took breath of reliefs, but today, 2 Jan 2022, I got call from Dhani for subscription charges. I came to me surprise as I got deactivated plan on May 2021 itself that mean Dhani is charging on deactivated plan.
I called but could not connect then pinged on messanger to enquire and complain. The support representative Garima Called after sometime, I explained her my case and asked her to refer my email where Dhani support team confirmed that my plan has been deactivated.

I request indiaBulls Dhani to remove the subscription charges that was applied mistakenly and remove/ delete all my relationships with Dhani and India Bulls.

I am attaching screen shot where Dhani Support confirmed that my plan has been deactivated.

I have spoken to you Support team and they of no use. They do not know anything. every time a new support representative calls and I have again explain my case from the start. I am copying the full detail of my case that have sent you to grievance dept. and Nodal officer too. Please resolve my case as soon as possible.

I am attaching the screenshot which clearly shows that my plan was deactivated on May-2021 and you still kept on charging subscription fee.

Hello Sir/Madam,

I am writing to lodge my formal complaint about a breach of trust and unethical business practice being run by Dhani in the name of one freedom Plan.



Background:

Loan Application Number: CL13347892



My ordeal started when I downloaded the Dhani app after being lured by the Dhani promotion 0% interest. Once I downloaded the Dhani app and provided KYC documents. I got a few thousand Credit limit, however, there was no clear communication of subscription charges without using the Credit limit. I have the following issues with your onboarding process.



1. There was no clear communication of subscription charges without even using the Credit Limit.

2. Why One freedom plan was automatically started without asking?

3. Why a credit card was issued in my name without asking?

4. Why initial Credit limit amount is decided without asking?

5. Why Manded was set up in the name of confirming the account details.



On 24-May-2021, 900 Rs got deducted from my account without any information or communication from your side. I called Dhani customer care and wrote emails to know the reason for the charges, customer case told me these are the subscription charges. I was shocked to hear 900 rs as subscription charges without even using any facility and asking for any service from Dhani.

Then I decided to cancel the plan that you forced onto me without asking. For that, I sent a couple of emails and spoke to Dhani support. After a few follow-ups, Dhani support confirmed on 29 May 2021 that my One freedom plan has been canceled on my request. (Email communication is attached for your reference in pdf format).



Recent issue that I am facing are mentioned below, kindly take a not and resolve them as soon as possible :



Breach of trust:



A couple of days back I got a call that I have 5000+ pending due, again shock for my life, I spoke Dhani Customer Care, your representative said your plan is inactive due to nonpayment of the subscription charges. I explained what I mentioned in the background that I had canceled the plan in May-2021 itself and forwarded the email from Dhani support for her reference.



After numerous emails and follow-ups, this issue is not resolved. The customer support replied “This is taking longer than usual, please allow us more time”



I request you to take action on the following points.

1. Cancel all my Plans, subscriptions, and relationships with Dhani with immediate effect. As confirmed by Dhani support on May-2021 itself that on my request the plan “One Freedom” has been deactivated and hence it does not make sense to apply any type of fee or charges. I am attaching the screenshot from PDS itself for your quick reference.

2. Refund my 900 rs debited on 24-May-2021 as subscription charges. I never used any Dhani facility.



The Vicious circle for charging subscription fee on deactivated plan:



Today I got a call from Dhani asking to pay the subscription charges that were incorrectly applied on the deactivated one freedom plan. She said that she can cancel the one freedom plan if you pay the outstanding fee amount and she will refund the paid fee amount in my wallet. I do not trust such offers. I can see in the Dhani app, I have been charged a very high fee monthly and I will not be able to cancel the plan unless I pay the outstanding. This is nothing but Blackmailing from Dhani to trap innocent customers. All previous and future applied charges are illegal.



I am not willing to pay any amount incorrectly charged to me. As I have proof from Dhani saying my plan was deactivated in May 2021 at my request. Please cancel all my plans, subscriptions, and relationships with Dhani with immediate effect if any in your system.



I can send you the recording with the Customer Care representative for your reference if needed.



Imposing increase of credit limit:



I got a call today (IVR), informing me my limit has been increased and the monthly subscription fee also increased. WOW..

· May I know on what basis you are increasing the limit on the deactivated plan?

· Who requested you to increase the plan?



I expect a professional redressal of my complaint and expect a positive response by canceling all relationships with Dhani and Indiabulls and remove all subscription charges applied to me incorrectly.



Dhani gave me nothing but mental trauma and harassment, in the era of pandemic people lost their livelihood and sustaining with every hardship and limited resources. Such malpractices do not give a good picture of Dhani or IndiaBulls to Indian consumers. I urge you to correct such malicious business practices, if you take care of your customers then customers will take care of you.
