Indiaideas — Fraudulent auto debit ecs instruction to bank | |||||
I have received an sms today morning from indian bank which reads as "confirm with home branch for issue of ecs debit mandate in your account xxxxx0663 fav: indiaideas for amount rs. 51878 before 15.06.2017 otherwise further ecs debit will be returned - indian bank" However, i have not carried out any such transaction. I want to return my money back as soon as possible so I request you all members
a/c to another account (just as a precaution) It appears IndiaIdeas is a intermediary for online financial transactions but I don't understand who authorised to initiate a ECS mandate and I do not have any matching transaction done recently for the ECS amount. Very strange. I intend to call my home branch for further details. Let me know if you have sorted this out.
