[Resolved]  Indian Army — Fraud against honda activa scooter paytm payment of Rs. 2150/-

Hi,

Today morning (17th June 2020, 7:41AM) I search a Honda Activa 5G (Reg no. DL13 SW 5954 ; Reg Date Jul 2018) Dazzle Yellow Metallic Colour on OLX app. The owner name is BIJENDER KUMAR (ph-[protected]). He show me his details as a Asst. Sub Inspector/Exe in CISF (Central Industrial Security Force). He provide me some proof of his identity and scooter document, which looks real. Detail documents attached with this complaint.
We both fix a deal with Rs. 15000/-.

He told me the scooter is in Indian Army post office in IGI Airport, so I cannot collect that by hand and I need to pay a postal fee of Rs. 2150/- using Paytm or Googlepay (to ph. [protected]) for which I will get receipt. and ARMY transportation department will deliever it to my home address (provided in my wife's Adhaar Card and PAN card). Also, he ask for a copy of Adhaar Card, PAN Card and photo for transfer of Vehicle registration to my wife's name. I pay fee of Rs 2150/- via paytm no [protected] (registered with name of PRASHANTA KUMAR BINDANI) on 8:30AM.

He provide me postal fee receipt of Rs. 2150/- on my watsaap numbers with some photos of other officers (on 9:21AM). and told me scooter will deliver in 2-3 hours to my address in BRIJ VIHAR, GHAZIABAD.

After ~3 hours, 12:37PM, I got a call from another person. himself was suggested as delivery officer of Indian Army (ph-[protected]). He told his present location is Apsara border, ghaziabad (which is 10min from my home) and asking another Rs. 5100/- because there was some system/network issue and not showing delievery orders to him. I show my interest to see the scooter first before proceed to the payment and for this he refuse. he said first to pay then he will come to my home. I said no, first I want to see it and on the same time I will proceed the payment. for this there was a 3 way conversation between BIJENDER (owner), Delievery person and me. both are forcing me to pay 5100 rupees first and in 15 minutes they will give me scooter.

Here, I feel doubt that if the person is just a 10min away from my home then why not showing me the scooter. and payment I will made on the same time.

then again call the delievery person, and this time he talk to me very rough tone and threat me that he will take it back to ARMY post office in IGI, Airport.

I had last conversation to Bijender on 1:30PM.

I registered complaint to OLX and the complaint no is 7533657.
