I would like to share my unpleasant experience with indusind bank while applying for forex card. I always had the perception that indusind bank is one of the most advanced bank that is leveraging technology to provide better services. Unfortunately, my experience has been exactly opposite of that.
I applied for forex card today online and received appended mail highlighting the requirements that need to be submitted at the time of collecting card. Following are my observations and chronology of events:
1. Contact number provided post submitting the application doesn’t belong to mr. Mervyn i. E. [protected]
2. Subsequently concern person provided me the contact number of mr. Mervyn i. E [protected]
3. Objective of my call was to understand what documents i need to bring as address proof as i stay in rental house and my aadhar card doesn’t have the same address.
4. Mr. Mervyn subsequently connected me to mr. Guru who asked me to bring copy of first page and last page of passport and flight tickets. These requirements are neither mentioned in mail and nor it was not communicated explicitly as a part of workflow.
5. Based on this i decided to cancel the card and approached call center.
6. After 10 minutes of conversation i was connected to ms. Darsha in escalation team and requested her to cancel the card and ensure no cancellation or other charges are levied while refunding my money.
7. I also connected mr. Guru on conference call who subsequently added one more requirement during our conversation. I. E. Confirmation of payment made to indusind bank. I assume your systems are automatic and one can easily figure out the amount of money paid against the order. This requirement is also not mentioned anywhere.
8. Later nigh of them called and confirmed that these addict all documents are requirement and i refused to proceed further due to miscommunication and lack of transparency from their end.
9. They have charged 500 rs while refunding the money although i told them i am not proceeding with card due to your misrepresentation. Horrible experince and i wouldn't like to recommend this bank to any one
