[Resolved]  GVK EMRI 108 — Patient forced to other hospital without consultant facilities against patient wish.

Resp Sir,
This is to bring to your notice that maternity patients from Chhotaudepur & Kawant taluka of Vadodara district are being forced to go to the Govt. hospital against their wishes. Ours is a private setup with Govt Chiranjivi & Balsakha Yojana hence fully free to the patient with facility for urgent LSCS surgeries, and management of other crisis with ICU facility for eclampsia, severe anemia and sickle cell crisis or any other obstetric emergency.

The argument of the 108 people is that 108 being a Govt service you have to come only to the Govt hospital to that extent that they have been telling patients that our hospital is no more running.

Chhotaudepur & Kawant are part of the tribal belt of Vadodara dist without a single consultant at either Govt. setups. The patients are being pushed to risk unnecc for some unknown reason.

I would like to know the reason for the same. Patient came from Govt hospital Kawant who was forced to go to the Govt hospital Kawant just wasting time in a case of transverse lie leading to intrauterine death of the child before the patient came to our hospital & one is maternal death.

There are off and on such cases where patients are being brought to CHC and then have called for our ambulance refusing to get admitted at Govt. setup.

Complicated cases are being shifted at a later stage increasing the morbidity. In a place where blood is not available it just worsens the situation.

When our purpose is to improve the health services in backward areas like ours why this?

I have talked to the CDHO Vadodara district about this who will also look into the matter. your services are the best when it comes to emergencies the why this?
