Intime Services — geyser

Hello viewers,

Got to know about "intime services" through google. Went to
www.intimeservice.com and i had requested for a callback and within an hour at 1:59 p. M. Customer service team reached out to me to take the issue details and promised to assign a technician.
The assigned technician called us at 2:34 p. M. And informed us that he will reach our home within an hour. When the technician didn't report at the promised time. So, we called the technician back at 3:44 p. M. And he without any regret informed that he is outside the city and he will be able to come only at 6:00 p. M. As expected he conveniently came at 6:55 p. M.
First, we were not willing to allow him inside as our 1/2 day of the weekend has been wasted by him. But since he apologized, we allowed him to inspect our geyser. After inspecting he informed us that the water has leaked from the coil and both coil and thermostat had to be replaced.

The technician was carrying both coil and thermostat with him and wanted to replace the parts. I asked him for the price and he quoted rs. 1950/- for the coil and rs. 500/- for the thermostat. When i googled, i found out that the thermostat is available for rs. 950/-. When i showed him, he offered a deal that he will give both coil and thermostat and service charges for a total of rs. 2000/-.
I rejected the deal and asked him to wait and went to the shop and bought the coil for rs. 990/- (Rs. 40/- more than the online price) and the shop owner was honest enough to test the thermostat and confirmed that it is working fine and doesn’t need replacement. With half-hearted due to the loss of revenue, the technician replaced the coil and fitted the perfectly working thermostat.
Now comes the final bill. I asked him for the total service charges and he mentioned that its rs. 600/- and if i am happy with the service (Which i was not), i can give him rs.100/-. I asked him for the bill and guess what, he said the bill is only when we buy the parts from him. I insisted on the bill and finally, he gave in and gave a bill.

Lessons learned:

1. When the technician gives you a particular time to the visit, tell him that you are ready to give ½ hour more and if he doesn’t show up, you will cancel the service request.
2. When the technician wants to change any of the parts, please browse and find the price online. If possible, get the parts from the nearby shop.
3. Remember to ask for the bill and do take time to share your experience for others to learn.

Remember, it's your hard earned money. If we don’t respect our time and money, don’t expect from others to do so.
