Iopex Technologies — employment service bond

I worked in iopex technologies, ambit park, chennai. At the time of recruitment, i was promised that i would paid cab and wouldn't have rotational shifts. After i joined there, i realized they were 'seriously' limited. My house wasn't within their travel boundary not to mention the fact that they themselves were based out of ambattur which was way out of city limits. They put me in rotational shifts too despite the hr explicitly mentioned i would only be in evening shifts. Considering the harsh work environments (No leaves even for emergency reasons-made me work double shifts, as a policy you are not entitled to take paid leaves during probation, no cabs even during untimely hours), i dropped my resignation paper five months in. This is where they brought up my service bond. Their service bond promised me full classroom trainings which the company was never in a capacity to fulfill. They never spent any considerable of money for training even after i confronted my appraiser about this. I took an initiative to give a crash course about the technology we were in but the company forced me to pay up 75k upfront before leaving the company. I needed their service letter, so was unable to leave without paying up. I reached out to everyone even upto the ceo but to of no avail. I wasn't the only one affected by this. A girl was pressured to pay up, as a result, she had to abscond though her total service satisfied the bond period but the hr team insisted that her notice period wont be a part of total service period. Another guy too was made to pay up. This company is enforcing bonds even at times they are not legally entitled to. If legal proceedings were not costly, company would have been dragged to court by someone. I personally know five people from one project who were harrased/extorted, who knows how many are out there without speaking up.
