Jawaharlal Nehru University — Sewage overflow in Residential accommodation in Jawaharlal Nehru University

For over a year, there has been sewage overflow from the hostel area into the residential houses 62-64 in Dakshinapuram located in the university campus ( 110067).

The sewage flow continues unabated. It is already stinking, with temperature increasing by the day it will soon be unbearable. Dengue and other parasites carrying mosquitoes and flies must already be breeding there. JNU authorities have not done the needful and so it is in desperation that we are now approaching SDMC

Our request to SDMC is that since the university has not done anything, we would request for two things on an urgent basis
1. rectification of the problem
2. fine to be levied for non-compliance with SDMC directives against JNU.
