Jehangir Hospital — Refundable deposit not returned back after discharge

My Wife got admitted for a gall bladder removal surgery in Jan25 . At the time of admission a refundable deposit of 20000 was charged. It was informed to me that after the discharge ( Meaning once the bill is settled), I need to fill a form with bank details and the refundable deposit will be processed in 45 days, as Insurance company takes 45 days to settle the cashless hospitalization from back end with hospital.

Now even after 4 months have passed and the settlement is already done by the insurance company (which was a cashless corporate insurance ), I am still awaiting for the refund of the deposit.

The hospital settled 5000 as credit during the discharge as per the billing summary, the remaining 15000 is still pending .

I was told to connect with Credit Officer etc in the hospital but havenot received any favourable response.

This is a complete non-transparency that exists in hospital billing and accounts department . The patient is solely dependent at the mercy of the hospital.

I would recommend to be cautious while dealing with any transactions with the hospital .
