Jet Airways — boarding gate closes 45 minutes before as their sms says it will be closed 25 minutes before

My flight from mumbai to hyderabad was at 12.50 and received sms stating that boarding gate will be closed 25 minutes before. Where are we reached at 12.08 at jet counter but denied boarding pass. When we asked about the reason they said boarding gate is closed 45 minutes before. We were in the queue and none was bothered to help us. My travel date was 6th oct 17 and pnr number is laydvr
