Dear Sirs
We came back from Bali on night of 6th June"16 We recd. our brand new bags in damaged condition, shown to airport staff and a claim form was filled. One bag bottom cracked and on second too many scratches all around.
Recd. a reply from Jet on 9th June and gave them details of bags being brand new bought from spain on 24th April'16. Jet offered eventually on 11th June via email a claim of Rs.10K in absence of bills / warranty card as per mail below:

WE would require the bill and warranty of the bag as same needs to be shown to our head office.
In absence of bill and warranty we can pay INR10, 000/- for both the bags .

We called Mandarina Duck, Barcelona and got a duplicate invoice and sent them on 14th June. After that I have written them several times with reminders - all copies on email available and they replied on 21st June stating now they can only pay Rs.5K as compensation
It is very strange for such a large organization to behave so unprofessionally and first try to settle by offering an amount and later back out when actual bills are available. The bags were brand new as they saw in invoice which I bought from factory outlet in Barcelona.
1. Why ask for bills when you do not have value for that.
2. make commitment and then back out
We asked for replacement of same brand and not even cash BUt this is how they are troubling customers who simply complained under rules and did use loud words or shouted at them.
I did hear falling standards of Jet airways in last years but this is pure communication issues and having a policy in that oragnisation.
Hoping for a revert to solve the issue
