[Resolved] Jet Airways — S2 4456 Jet Airways - Customer Grievance | |||
I was scheduled to catch 21.20 PM from Hyderabad to Mumbai last night which kept on getting delayed at regular intervals starting from 10.15, 10.45, 11.10 and so on ….. The on ground staff of Jet Airways was so rude that they did not give a reason for the delay and please look upon the t screen for further details. On top of it as customers started fighting they quietly pushed them to their lounge for free dinner so that they do not make a noise and create a panic. As the crowd started gathering they could not control and then they started saying that they have not offered free meals even after the people who had those meals acknowledge that JET AIRWAYS only guided them to the lounge. There were senior citizens and parents with infant kids who were struggling to manage the long delay with no reason and they could care less for them. As per policy if the flight is delayed for more than 2 hours people are entitled for meals but they refuse to acknowledge the policy also. At that point we decided enough was enough and we will not board the flight till all the passengers are served meals and they give a written apology. The question out here was not of meals as we were least interested of having a meal 11.30 in the night but the question was of respect. Even after paying the necessary fees for travelling if we are treated like slaves for the services which are bare minimum to be offered is NOT ACCEPTABLE at all. As we progressed ahead many of senior citizens, families with kids started boarding the flight as they were already exhausted and had no energy to argue. I must approx. 40 to 50 people including ladies and foreigners that we will put up the fight and not board the plane. After numerous arguments they agreed to provide meals on the flight but refused to give an apology letter. We also stood firm and said that unless we get the letter we do not move ahead !!! They were trying to threaten us that the plane will fly leaving all of you behind etc and they will not accommodate us stuff like that. We mentioned to them that they can go ahead do what they want but we will not move unless we receive the letter. At 12.45 AM they agreed they gave in to our demands and they gave an apology letter !!! It did not stop there… then as we boarded the flight the Captain threaten us I will not allow you all to Board the flight and the staff on the airplane mentioned that we will not serve free food as it is not possible. However the flight took off at 1.10 AM and then in the mid way they switched off the AC and they had a rough landing as they were under the impression that they also gave us a fight. The only regret I have is there were many senior citizens and families with kids and people had to catch connecting flights and were under stress because of the delay, I would sincerely apologize to all of you !!! Please note the intent was to teach JET AIRWAYS a lesson to treat people with respect, dignity and not like slaves etc…. There are more videos where the ground staff promised to provide food inside the flight late on but the cabin crew refused. Also the crew behaved very badly. Ac wasnt working in the flight. They gave apology later which is again fraud as the letter they provided to us didnt have any of the staff's name.
