To the executives of the jet airways,

My name is kokkalinga udaya de silva. I am writing this email regarding about a complain that i have for your air lines. I am a canadian citizen and i recently visited sri lanka to see my relatives (July 15th - august 8th). I purchased a two-way air ticket from gala travels and after purchasing it i had called gala travels several times to see if there was anything missing from my ticket. The agents confirmed that my ticket was fine and there wasn’t anything that i should be concerned about. When i left canada on july 15th my route to sri lanka was from ottawa-montreal, montreal-paris, and finally paris-colombo. I will be attaching all of my ticket documents that i had received to this email. When traveling to sri lanka i did not encounter any issues with my ticket nor the air lines. However, after ending my three weeks’ vacation in sri lanka i traveled to the colombo international air port to catch my 9:35 p. M. (August 6th, 2016) flight. I even traveled three hours earlier than my flight time. After entering the air port i showed my canadian pass port as well as my ticket to the jet air ways officers. Then the officers told me that my ticket is not on the system and that my ticket has been canceled. I tried explaining to them several times that i paid the money for my two-way ticket and that i have proof to show them. Not only that, i also asked them to call gala travels so that they can confirm that i am telling the truth. They angrily replied back saying that they simply do not have any time to call. Then, i requested to let me call gala travels and that i will pay them for the call. Once again they declined my request. The officers did not show any sympathy towards me. The only thing they told me is that i will have to go to the sri lankan head office located in york street. However, i will have to wait until monday, which is august 8th, meaning that i will have to stay in sri lanka for two extra days. I was so confused and frustrated when i came out of the air port. After wards, i got into a taxi and in there i called one my relatives and informed him about my situation. He told me to get off the cab and wait until he comes and picks me up. Thereafter, i called gala travels and we talked for more than two hours. The thing that they repeatedly told me was that there wasn’t anything wrong with my ticket and that i should go back to the air port and talk with one of the head officers in the jet air ways. When i returned back there weren’t any jet air ways officers. Then the gala travels agent asked me to stay with my relative and that they will email me a new ticket. After hearing my situation gala travels kept on telling me that they did not do anything wrong and on their system it’s saying that my ticket is valid. So to sum it up i am writing this email because of the money that i have lost for missing an extra day of work, the money that i spent for my traveling expenses as well as my accommodations, and also for the calling hours that i had with gala travels through international calling. When you add all the money together it comes down to approximately cad $3, 000. After reading this email i hope that you will claim my money back. If you are an amazing air line i am sure you will take some action regarding my situation. I am also going to attach gala travels phone number to this email. I am hoping to hear a good reply from you soon.
