Jet Airways — Unpleasant & unhealthy experience in jet airways flight

Hi, Yesterday, I was traveling from Mumbai to Kolkata using Jet airways flight 9W617. The schedule time for take was 19:05. But the flight was an hour delayed. When they started serving food to the passengers, and my turn came, I noticed the tray where we put our food and eat, was not cleaned, the leftover from last journey was still there .I could not put my food over there and start eating in such dirty and unhygienic place. So I informed and showed the same to the flight attendant who was serving the food. The flight was already an hour delayed and it was around 9pm. I was feeling hungry and needed some food to eat. So requested her if she could help on this to have this cleaned. So that I could have my food. But shockingly she replied she could do nothing on this. This was really shocking for me noticing – First of all, before takeoff no one checks and cleans the inside of the flight especially the tray where the passengers have to put their food and eat. Secondly, experienced very reluctant and cold attitude from the flight attendant when I informed her and brought her notice about the same. As she was not ready to do anything and refuse to clean that, ultimately I had to return my food. As a passenger am I supposed to clean that? Even I did not create that mess! Though I was starving I could not take anything else as well (after the meal ice cream and tea/coffee was served). Then I talked to the main flight attendant about the same and shared my experience. She said sorry and she promised me that she would have that cleaned right away and also asked if I would like to have my dinner, asked my preference and accordingly she would serve the food after the place would get cleaned. I thanked her thinking that finally someone was ready to listen to the passenger, what issue he is going through and trying to work on that so that he can be relieved and feel comfortable sitting in that place Thought that better late than never. Also as I could not eat/drink anything she was insisting me if I would take anything. Since it was already late and all the passengers were done eating, I asked for a cup of tea as a nice gesture. After she left I was waiting for someone to come and clean the place. I kept waiting. Finally it reached Kolkata airport. I was stunned by their attitude and the way they behave with me. How could they lie and make false promises to the passenger and do nothing. I am very disgusted with the overall experience that I had yesterday night. I have been using Jet airways very frequently for recent trips but never had to experience any such thing. But last night’s experience changed my whole thought about Jet airways. The way they behaved and treated with customer. Seems like they are not bothered at all. They just don’t care about the passenger during the journey. I don’t know whether writing this would bring anyone’s notice or change anything. But still I want to share my experience with everyone so that they can reconsider their next air travel before choosing the airline. Regards,
