Jukaso Journeys Resorts Pvt Ltd. — Left cheated and suffer a loss of reputations I faced because of the membership I purchased

I received an invitation from “jukaso inn” regarding distribution of “free holiday voucher” for promotions of their hotels from one of their premises which is in sunder nagar, new delhi. They informed me that i will not only get the “free promotional voucher”, but will also get few more scratch coupons in which i “surely” get some gifts without fail. However, they want me to come over there with my family which i did.

On visiting their premises, i learned that the whole “free promotional vouchers” was arranged as a medium to call peoples at their disposals just because hotel group wants to sell their “membership” for a 5 or 10 years of “holiday package” and this was not informed while calling for distribution of promotional vouchers.

However, because of their enforcement of explaining the concept before they issue me their promotional vouchers and, also, because of my curiosity, i agreed to get their concept explained. During describing their concept of “holiday membership”, the made lot of promises because of which i should say that they have explained entire concept in very tempting way. The features they explained are:

1. I would be “owner” and not the “member” as they are selling ownership.
2. Since, i became an “owner”, i can ask for booking any time and they will provide me without fail.
3. This will be valid for 10 years.
4. Type will be “red”.
5. During this period, i can enjoy holiday in anywhere around the world and they will provide us accommodation free of cost and they will charge a sum of inr 6990/- annually as maintenance cost which was from second year onwards.
6. Type of accommodation would be “studio” room in “resorts” which will include a kitchen as well.
7. Breakfast will be free.
8. If i can ask for a “free of cost” chef from resorts, if i want something to cook in the kitchen provided in my room. I have to arrange only food stuff which can be cooked.
9. I will get 50% discount on dining as well service charge will not be billed.
10. A local city tour on sharing basis in volvo a/c bus will be provided free of cost.in case volvo is not available, they will provide a private car free of cost and i have to pay only for fuel.
11. I can access their banquet hall free of cost anytime with desired decoration subject to maximum one booking in a month.
12. I can visit any of their resort in weekend between morning and evening for utilizing their services of resorts like swimming pool, spa etc. And all these will be free of charge.
13. I can sell off my “day/nights” for any year if i don’t want to go for holiday but this can be done only thrice in entire periods. If i sell, the maintenance charge will not be applicable for that year.
14. I can accumulate my “day/nights” for next year or i can ask for “day/nights” from next year if i needed to do so.
15. Jukaso will issue membership card for my wife as well because she was co-applicant and both card can be utilized separately for booking of their banquet hall which was allowed once in a month for each card.

Seeing the features explained, i was very happy while buying the jukaso journey membership. Initially the sales manager narayan singh told me that the membership will cost me inr 1, 74, 000/- which can be converted into interest free 24 emis which put a burden on me of inr 7, 000/- pm approximate. But while swapping the card, he come to me stating that pos machine is not having option of 24 emi, it is showing only 12 emis. And finally, he informed me that it is inr 177648/- instead of inr 174, 000/-. More interestingly, when slips generated from pos i see that it was not 1.77 l or 1.74 l but indeed it was inr 1, 64, 000/- and another 13k was charged by bank as interest. So, this was the very first place from where they started cheating me.

The series of their cheating which was started from buying membership, continue to prevail. However, it was only my first journey with jukaso when i must say that i left cheated and suffer a loss of reputations with misbehave i faced, i left with no choice but to "end" this happiness and returned the membership.

There was a trip planned on 12th april for mussoorie, i asked the sales team to book a hotel at the time of purchase (08th april) but they expressed their inability to do so and told me that a booking can happen only after i receive my “welcome kit”. I accepted and shifted my planned trip on 17th instead of 12th april.

On receiving the kit on 11th, i found there are some discrepancies regarding my information like name etc. For which “welcome kit” team told me that these are not relevant and can be ignored. Furthermore, there was only one card inside kit. While asking for co-applicant card, “welcome kit” team refused and clearly said that there are no such facilities they are providing and they will not issue any supplementary card for my wife.

On 11th itself i called mr. Narayan singh and requested again to get booking for my trip planned on 16th and he assures me about the booking and that he will inform me regarding the same. Furthermore, he suggested that i should drop an email on their official email id i. E. "[protected]@jukasojourneys.com" which i did right then making cc to him as well. But things started getting worsen from here and it is getting worsen day by day. It was expected that the sales manager or any concerned person from jukaso should get back to me either by email or by phone and provide an update on the status of booking i asked for. But he did not return to me. As the journey day comes closure, i started worrying about the booking. Because of this i not only chased him but also chased their toll-free numbers and via email to track my booking but neither narayan nor customer care nor their “reservation” team return to me till mid-day of16th as we must start on 16th night to reach the destination on 17th. Narayan neither picked up my calls nor called me back nor he responses of “whatsapp” messages until last moment of 16th. There was no response from “customer care” & reservation team despite lot of chase. This get me worried a lot because my family has already done packings for the trip.

Suddenly my wife got a call from narayan in the late hours of 16th yelling and misbehaving at her. I was completely in shocked of his behaviour. I planned to put a complain about this to the management so that i should get an addressal of the issue and management should know what kind of staff they have once i will be returning to home after “planned trip”.

Finally, in the 11th hour, i got a screen shot of hotel’s letter head which consists of nothing but only name and address of the hotel. There were no details of type of room they have booked or class of hotel booked for me.

Since it was my first trip with jukaso journey and i already had lot of chase for this booking including the insult done by narayan, i decided not to go in much details of the accommodation type as per my “ownership” level which is “red”, i started for my trip.

When i reached on the destination, i found the booking was done in a hotel which was far below the “class” of hotels i should get as per the membership. Adding salt to the insult, the room they have booked was closed from all sides which means i can’t have even a view of mussoorie hills. Since, i have already informed my parent and in-laws that i have paid 1.77 lakh and we will be getting a good resort and some very good other features, this trip become a mockery for me in front on of them. All this happens just because nobody took responsibility to at least intimate me the correct situation of hotel booked for me.

The room was not “studio” type, it was very-very small which does not have space even to put the luggage. The views were blocked and there was no kitchen available with room as promised during membership buying. Because o[censored]navailability of kitchen with room and we were accompanied with kids, we face lot of problem arranging their foods as we had not planned in that way. This issue occurred because none of the journey staff is responsible enough to intimated us regarding the same.

Hotel does have dining facility but they closed it early and if you come even after 08:00 pm you can’t get food from hotel because of chef left for the day. Since we return to the hotel after 08:00 pm we were intimated that the kitchen was closed and chef had left already and no food availability possible at all. We had to live with readymade foods like biscuits, mixture, juices etc. Which we carried with us during trip. Furthermore, booking did not include free breakfast, in fact, hotel does not have breakfast feature. There was no discount on food (50% as jukaso promised) or waiver of service charges on food.

There was no city tour available with my booking either on shared or on private basis.

Seeing all these issues, i tried calling narayan again to inform about all these and could have asked for solution if possible in the 17th night but again as per the trend he shows during booking of the hotel, he neither picked up call nor called us back.

This was, indeed, horrible as the journey staff left us unattained for any issue occurred during the stay. Seeing all this issues, my mockery & and the insult of my wife, i make up my mind that i should escalate all these to the management and will ask for return of membership.

My struggle starts from here itself. When i reached to their corporate office, which is in gurgaon, one of the executive came to me and bluntly refused to call a manager to whom i can explain the situations. He insisted that i should tell entire story to him and he will communicate to the manager but i can’t. If manager thinks after listening the issues that he should meet me, only then manager will come to see me. I left with no choice but to narrate everything happened to me and “with the grace of god!!!” his manager, mr. Shiva came out. He asked to narrate the same story again. I did the same second time. After listening all these, he was convinced that the services they have given to me was extremely horrible and the behaviour or conduct of narayan singh was not at all acceptable. He suggests me that i should write an email on “[protected]@jukasojourney.com” and he will pursue the matter from there. However, he refused to give his number for my follow-up. Upon request, the executive given his number but, again like narayan singh, executive neither picked up my call nor get back to me. After few days of wait, i visited again to know the status of the issue at their gurgaon premises. Mr shiva came out and say that it will take time so i should give him some more time.
After again waiting for few more days when i did not receive any update, i tried calling him but the same trend appears here as well. He also neither picked up my call nor called me back.
On one fine day, i received a call from a ms. Payal querying about the issue, and upon asking the references from where she got this information, she cut the phone bluntly stating that "members को जितना support करो उतना वो सर पर चढ़ जाते हैं". The arrogance was too high in her voice. Gradually it is getting revealed their approach towards “members” i. E. The entire hierarchy is arrogant and they do not even listen to or even recognize the member’s issue. Since she disconnected the call, i called her back. She insisted to meet her in sunder nagar premises.
Although meeting with payal was just a formality from jukaso i met her. Initially she offered me the same lies which they did at the time of purchase but gradually at the end she threatened me that whatever i can, jukaso will definitely not going to return my money. She also told me that if i insist on refund only, she will move the case to their arbitrator which is in malviya nagar. As and when arbitrator will call me, i have to visit malviya nagar. Intrestingly, she also said that although it is an arbitrator, members of them will do the decision only what she is telling right now to me. Another type of lies here.
Further, it is only her arrogances which allow her to make uncomfortable comments on my parents and in-laws.
Seeing the arrogance of entire hierarchy, i seriously scared about “future insults” they will be going to do with me and my family for utilizing their services even if i would have accepted their soothing offer. Because of this fear i rejected the offer.
While returning to home from the meeting with payal, i got a call from her which was actually a conference calls where another person mr. Anuj (Sr. Manager) was on line and he called me to meet him in gurgaon premises with promises of resolving the issue.
I meet him in gurgaon, but since he senior in hierarchy, his arrogance was higher than all the person i met till now. He bluntly refuses to accept that “whatever happened to me” during entire episode is either a poor service, or misbehave with my wife or an insult or loss of my reputation or it is an issue. He said clearly that i will not get any money from jukaso and i have to live with it.
He was the last person i met during this course because he said explicitly that i can’t meet any one beyond him. With type of arrogance he talked to me, i felt again and again he was trying to demoralize me.
To sum up, each person i met who is employed in jukaso journey is having some serious problem of not taking care of members, talking rude, misbehaving, insulting and not bothering any problem a member is facing. Above all these, none of them has shown any kind of responsibility for members and their problems.

Do not book this hotel and resort. I have paid but not recovers till date.
