On 15th September 2023 I traveled in the above mentioned KSRTC service.
I was waiting at my boarding point Shantinagar Bus station from 9.45. I was not informed of the specific platform on which the bus will arrive. But I was provided with the conductor's mobile number. Boarding time was 22.10. From 22.05 I started calling the conductor to enquire about from exactly where shall I board the bus. Nobody picked up the phone eventhough I tried reaching several times between 22.05 to 22.45.
Finally at around 22.45 I got a call from the same number asking me to board the bus. This being my first time at the bus station I politely asked him where to come. He shouted at me asking where I am and why I am not at the specific place. This repeated several times. He gave me local shop names, which given the span of the bus station I would not be able to find. I clearly told him in which platform I'm waiting. But he was shouting at me telling the bus is going to take off without me, ask someone in uniform and come if you want to board. At that particular moment I couldn't find anyone of authority to ask this question. I made queries to the local shop people and finally reached somewhere nearby. All this while the conductor was not at all helpful but also was very rudely and arrogantly shouting at me. After meeting in person also he continued the same. Blaming me on not finding the spot. He kept on blaming, shouting and arguing. I told him I was provided with your number for contact, then why didn't you pickup. He was avoiding whatever I was trying to tell him and kept on yelling at me.
Despite the fact that I was not informed about the late arrival of the bus, the fact that I was waiting for the bus for almost 1 hour, I don't know how he had the audacity to threaten me that the bus will leave without me.
I am so disappointed at the whole incident that I don't want to travel with KSRTC anymore. I regret the fact that I already booked a return ticket on the same bus.
I as a consumer expect basic respect which I give to others in return in a conversation. He was arguing with me after failing at his own job. I did not ask for any personal favour or specific treatment. I expect the service worth for the money I paid. I request to take necessary and satisfactory action against such behaviours towards travellers. I hope no one else has to go through something similar.
