Dear KSRTC Officials,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a troubling incident that occurred during my recent journey on one of your Rajahamsa buses. As a regular passenger and a supporter of KSRTC services, I believe it is crucial to address instances where the conduct of your staff falls below the expected standards of professionalism and customer service.
On the 13th of March, 2024, I boarded a Rajahamsa bus from Satellite, Bengaluru, bound for my destination. Prior to boarding, I inquired with the driver about the possibility of paying via PhonePe, as I was experiencing severe pain and did not have cash on hand due to a recent medical procedure involving the insertion of a DJ stent for kidney disease. Although I did not disclose the details of my medical condition, the driver assured me that PhonePe payment was acceptable.
Upon boarding the bus, I was met with hostility and rudeness from the conductor, whose behavior was both unprofessional and distressing. Despite the driver's assurance, the conductor initially refused to issue a ticket, citing alleged policy violations regarding the acceptance of PhonePe payments. After much insistence, he reluctantly agreed to issue a ticket but then falsely claimed to have already issued it, despite my firm assertion to the contrary.
Furthermore, the conductor delayed the issuance of the ticket, insisting on additional checks and requesting payment to a personal account, which raised suspicions of fraudulent activity. Ultimately, he attempted to pass off another passenger's ticket as mine, a move that was both unacceptable and unethical.
This experience left me feeling deeply disrespected and violated, as I was subjected to unnecessary stress and mistreatment while already dealing with health issues. It is evident that the conductor's behavior was not only unbecoming of a representative of KSRTC but also potentially fraudulent and exploitative.
As a loyal customer of KSRTC, I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate disciplinary action against the conductor involved. Additionally, I request measures be implemented to ensure the provision of professional and respectful service to all passengers, regardless of their circumstances.
I have attached relevant documentation, including transaction screenshots and a photo of the ticket provided, for your reference. I trust that you will address this complaint with the seriousness it deserves and take steps to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
