[Resolved]  KSRTC — Conductor very rude to ladies travelling in Kerala-Mysore bus

Hi, This is in relation to my trip from Thrissur to Mysore dated 1 Feb 2015. PNRNo. J48052463, bus number - KA-01 F8436. Me and my friend were travelling in this bus and the bus conductor was very rude to us. He neither offered water nor gave us any blanket. Instead he was trying to scare us and show he was the leader there. A very small example of this, I and my friend were talking and the conductor was sitting right behind our seat. About 25-30 mins later, he got up to go beside the driver seat I suppose! Coz there was a movement I just looked up to see what was happening. The conductor looks at me and shouts "What do you want???" I was taken aback... I had not said a word... I just said nothing. The bus was supposed to reach Thrissur at 9 PM, but it had not come there till 10.45. This stop is not that safe for ladies to stand all alone so late and so my friend had called the conductor to check what happened to the bus. The mobile number was switched off throughout. On checking with the conductor after the bus came, he said the phone is on roaming and so he cant keep picking up calls. If being on "roaming" is a problem, why is the number even shared by KSRTC. We understand that there can be traffic blocks due to the metros coming up, but is it not right to know what is keeping the bus from reaching the stop. This was one of the main reasons the conductor was behaving rude, just that we asked the conductor why the mobile ws switched off!!! Another reason was that I had requested for a stop in Edappal which is on the way to Mysore and there is no detour to be taken. I was not well and so travelling to Thrissur would have taken me atleast 1.5-2 hours. Not only this, the conductors previously had allowed me to board at Edappal and they always used to tell me just call and let the conductor know. This was so stressful for me and my parents for no reason. After booking the tickets, why should a person be subjected to such tension. I would request the KSRTC team to talk to this conductor and request him to be more kind with the travellers. Like him, we are also humans who are tired or have our own problems. Showing irritation does not help any o[censored]s rather KSRTC team would lose some very loyal customers. I have been telling people about my experience and I hope something is done so that the service is improved. Thanks,
