I am narrating here one of the most horrifying experiences of my life which i recently had with your organization. Please note that this is the most you can go wrong while handling a customer.

In my case i had to deal with actual goons who have called me to abuse to an extent unimaginable.

First of all, this is kaustubh chatterjee, working as a consultant in pune. I happen to be son of justice a. K chatterjee, dist judge jodhpur (Rajasthan).

I recently have shifted from kolkata to pune with all my luggage and vehicle and was charged 72 thousand for a 2 bhk luggage and a car.

Some damage and delay is acceptable but here is a horrifying never-ending saga.

1. Fake bills: kuber gave my relatives (Since i could not be there while loading) a chalu bill of the entire amount (With 72000 being shown as labour charges only) and proper bill of only 10, 000 rs. This means the entire story of service tax etc. Is fake.

2. Kuber had charged me almost 8 thousand extra for insurance of the luggage but no insurance was done. There is no proper documentation of any third party insurance. No documentation was provided for anything. The agent (Rajkumar) confirmed that there is no proper insurance done.

3. There was a substantial difference in costing for two packages. One was a cheaper option where you have to club your luggage with someone and the other option was to hire a separate container. Obviously they said the damage would be least in the separate container option and i took it. To my nightmare, the container had 25-30 big boxes of other customer and 1 or 2 bikes as well. They smartly tried to deliver me the last but the driver spilled the beans as i caught him talking to these guys. I then made a recording of the driver admitting to this and had taken a written statement signed with the details. (See the attached letter and video).

4. I work with numbers for a living and trust me, my estimated damage on an as is basis was close to 12 thousand plus. Broken glasses, broken furniture, manhandling of very costly goods. For all of this, there was no soul of kuber who'd talk to me and just mere apologize.

5. As of today, i. E. 7th june, i still haven't received my car. And just 10 minutes back the pune agent for kuber - some guy called rahul sharma, called me to abuse. Yes. Abuse in its true sense. Why? Because i demanded my car to be delivered which has been lying at their nigdi office. After almost a week of harassment where i was told that my car is on the way to house and then suddenly told that the driver is lying and its still in mumbai and will be delayed by 3 4 more days. Then there were long endless pushing your agents to deliver my car as promised. You call yourselves an organization? Where you call up customers to say “m*c* tujhe samajh nahi aata” n all. I can not stoop so low to your level of illiteracy that you guys have shown but i will not let this one go and put all of this to a logical conclusion. You agents are illiterate, uneducated goons who do not know how to deal with customers at all.

6. Apart from this, there are numerous instances where i have been utterly tortured. I had to be off work to just call them and push them to deliver my car, which still hasn't come.

7. Also, the entire money has been transferred in a personal account. (Some mr. Rugharam from sardar sahar). They pushed me to transfer the amount to this account when they had come initially for loading the luggage. I had asked them for a proper account and they said, this is how its done. If all is fair why doesn’t kuber have a proper account and if it has, why was not it given to me to make the payment.

In a nutshell, this is a classic case of an organized hooliganism in an unorganized sector. I have been advised to lodge a formal fir in the nigdi police station, sardar sahar and kolkata. With all of this, a formal complaint will be lodged in the consumer forum as well and will see it to the end. But again, in the fast paced daily life, it is no one's loss but yours when you get your hands dirty.
