"This is most unfortunate. Despite our repeated request, LCRT private BEd colleges are charging money illegally. The students have already paid Rs 97, 000 as course fee and the colleges have no right to charge anything extra."
As Students of the LCRT college, authorities started demanding money within three months of the commencement of classes.
"I took admission after paying a course fee of Rs 50, 000 fixed by the university. Months into the classes, the college asked for Rs 28, 000 as money for completing the admission process. We even paid Rs 3, 000 for a seminar and Rs 7, 900 as registration fee. But we were never given any receipt."
The student added that the college charged Rs 2, 300 as library fee although none were allowed to use it. "I decided to lodge complaints after the college issued a notice last week demanding Rs 13, 500 as exam fee, "
