Date: 07th December 2020 To The Executive Director CRM/Chief (CRM) LIC of India, India Sub: Intentional Harassment of Madam Mousumi Paddar( AO), Branch Code: 42D, Dumdum Cant, Kolkata Dear Sir, I, Sailajananda Jana, Resident of Flat 202, Tower -1 HIG, Uttorayon Township, Matigara, Siliguri, West Bengal, visited personally on 29th Oct 2020 to Dumdum branch to submit the LIC policy surrender documents. I had handed over all documents to Madam Mousumi Poddar, AO and she did complete verification of all documents including related supporting and arranged to give me acknowledgement on it. At that time she informed me that the settlement of claim would be delay because reassignment of the policy need to be done. The copy of acknowledgement is attached herewith where you may fide her given remark on the document as well. On 4th Nov 2020 I received a call from her to deposit reassignment fees of Rs.118.00 at Dumdum branch. I informed her I stay at Siliguri and it is not possible to visit Kolkata for the same purpose therefore share me some alternative mode for doing the payment. Post all conversations are available in this mail itself for your reference. Sir, I visited your LIC Dumdum branch from Siliguri not only the purpose to submit the surrender documents of policy but also to understand the reason of another two unsettled surrender application were kept pending since long. When she confirmed that I am Sailajananda Jana she started behaving impolite and told me why I made complain to chairman desk for unsettled claims without knowing the real situation of office where she is working with very less manpower in this pandemic situation. Basically her intention was to take revenge at that point and she decided to harass me for this case. She knows very well it would difficult to come down again to Dumdum branch from Siliguri to deposit the re-assessment fees. I am sorry to say that but this is very disgusting and painful that the staff appointed by LIC of India, the biggest Insurance Group of India, don’t know how to deal with the customers, they misbehave and harass the customers despite the customers are ready to give them the complete support to solve the problem if some mistake has been occurred from whom so ever. I request you to please get this matter resolved on the highest priority within a week’s time else I would have to approach to the Consumer Court. And please take a serious action against Mrs. Mousumi Poddar. (AO) so that in future no other customer would suffer and image of the LIC will not be hampered anymore like it had been in my case.
