I had abrupt high and faulty bills in the past for couple of months. For which I visited our sub division offices near Park Street and Dange Chowk.
After persuading the matter for long, the Dange chowk office related the issue to my faulty meter and advised that the same will be changed. The order for changing the faulty meter was given on 20th February 2016 of which I have a signed copy. The office allotted some Mr. Mhaskey for the job and also gave me his number for follow up. Despite my regular follow ups the Meter has not been changed till date.
Now, in the month of May'16 (bill is for April'16) again the bill has come to Rs. 7340 as against previous month's bill of 840 and as against monthly average of 204 units / month . This kind of consumption has never been a case for my Consumer No. apart from the month for which I have already raised the bill. Also this huge bill can't be even attributed to high consumption for a family which only has two members.
During the past occasion when the meter was not changed inspite of the written orders, I deliberately held the bill payment (which was faulty) till the matter could be solved but MSEB officials threatened and came to disconnect my connection and after no customer service, I had to pay for even faulty bills.
I have visited Park Street office many a times after taking leaves from my office and facing so much of trauma. Now they mention that since you have come so many times we will give you 350 discount. For 7340 bill they are giving me 350 discount just because I have a faulty meter which they have acknowledged but not changed till date. It is a random decision which is not acceptable to me. First my meter should be changed immediately and then my bill should be corrected based on my average consumption. Was this information helpful? |
