This company has been rampantly and deliberately charging incorrect amounts to consumers. For the past one year, t hey have consistently being using incorrect 'Previous meter reading' figure to arrive at the bill for that month. Will explain with an example from my most recently Bill
for 2 months my previous reading has been showing as 26917 (June, and July). In June charged for 571 units. This mean my next month's (July) bill should have shown Previous month reading as (26129+571=) 26700. But instead in July they again have used 26129 as the previous meter reading and calculated new consumed units for July as 788 units (total = 26917). This is day light robbery.. They have charged me again for the units that i have paid in the past month. This is not an isolated issue and upon checking previous i realise this has happened again. There is no checking done of the billing process and it is left at the mercy and wisdom of poor consumers to identify issue and report it. If one reports they will get refund. The ones who dont, hard earned money of consumers gets pocketed by MSEB staff. Can this illegal process be reported to the highest level Was this information helpful? |
