Same usage of gas as for last so many months and years but gas bill is just more than double this time. It is Rs. 3848 which is extremely high for a family of 4 cooking only food as we have aquaguard for drinking water and electric heater for hot water. This is unacceptable and please explain these exorbitantly high charges.

    Dear Team,

    Would like to understand, how can the bill generated are costing high in terms of amounts.

    1) Unit - 21 Month - Aug, Amount 622/-
    2) Unit - 21 Month - Jun, Amount 622/-
    3) Unit - 21 Month - Apr, Amount 643/-

    The above are example of months, the current month of Bill for Oct 2020 has amount of Rs 2050 and unpaid dues of previous bill Rs 1255/-. Total amount is Rs 3583/-...

    I fail to understand the calculation, and the increase of amounts.

    Dear Team,

    I understand, bills are raised on bi-monthly basis on actual and if not actual they are raised on assessed consumption.
    The Meter obtained during Feb 20 and thereafter there was no reading taken due to pandemic.
    Simultaneously the reading was taken at Oct 2020.
    As per the below calculation, it state Opening - Closing Units, follow by months, per day / units etc.

    Here, I fail to understand how come 8 months has been consider to get per months/ per day/ unit to arrive into calculation.

    Customer had paid so far following amounts in Mahanagar Gas.

    1) Unit - 21 Month - Aug 2020 Amount 622/- ( Rs 1243) Rs 621 extra.
    2) Unit - 21 Month - Jun 2020 Amount 622/-
    3) Unit - 21 Month - Apr 2020 Amount 643/- ( Rs 743 already paid ).

    4) Rs 1256/- has been already paid, via cheque 000190 drawn on HDFC Bank.

    So far Amount has been paid Rs 2621/- or more / less during 6 months of durations.

    How come bill for Oct Month would be raise for Rs 2050/-. units usage as per bill 78.

    I fail to understand the calculation, and the increase of amounts.

    If record can be checked for last year 2019

    1) Units - 19 Month - Oct 19 - Rs 603/-
    2) Units - 21 Month - Dec19 - Rs 643/-
    3) Units - 22 Month - Feb 20 - Rs 673/-

    The average billing was always approx Rs 600 to Rs 650/-. Pls Check the above record for example.

      Till now my bill amount is not exceeded more than Rs.200, but now all sudden i am receiving bill with excessive meter reading and unacceptable bill amount of rs.700. Even though our consumption patten hasn't changed.

      Pl look into this on top most priority.

        Since January 2020 i am getting high amount bill of mahanagar gas
        It is impossible
        We asked them to check meter
        The person visited but says meter is okay ...
        Our complaint still not Solved
        Our previous bill were upto 800 -900 rs
        But now it is upto 2000 or more

          Ref : Very High Bill for November 2020

          IÂ have received a very high bill for the month of November 2020 amounting to Rs. 3828/-. I would like you to clarify if it is a mistake on your part or something else. I have been using the pipe gas the same way as the previous months then how did we get such a raised amount in bill. Please rectify this issue ASAP. My earlier bills were within the range of Rs. 1500/- approx.Â

            We have always get a bill around INR. 600/- but this time for Oct'20 it has gone to INR. 1, 740/-. We know that it wasn't used extensively then why such big amount for current month bill payment ?

            I have also sent a mail to them regarding the same. Please note in current slowdown, job loss and COVID pandemic each penny counts a lot for all retail customers.

              Attached below the summary, please observe the number o[censored]nits consumed per bill cycle for last 12 months. It comes approximately 28 or 29 units per bill cycle. However, in the bill of October 2020, I have been charged for 78 units, bill amounting to Rs. 2415, which may be due to error in billing or some other cause. Kindly rectify the error, if any and resend the bill after rectification and oblige.

                I have been continuously calling the customer call center & sending mails for the refund of security deposit & excess bill amt paid for gas pipeline for the last 8 months but the same is not being done. Every time I call the call center I get a reply saying we will call you back back or send mail but I have never received any calls or emails regarding the same.

                It's been more than 9 months since we have disconnected the gas pipeline but the refund has not been received. I agree that the offices were closed for some months due to covid, but now most of the offices have opened but still even after constant follow-ups I have not received my refund.

                Please guide what needs to be done to get my own money back.

                  I inspected the meter with all my gas appliances turned off and noted that it continued to register [...] units of gas consumption.

                  It is clear that either the meter is faulty or that there is some other problem.

                  Either way, the bill is not a true reflection of gas used. I now wish to request you to carry out a test on the meter at my home.

                  I look forward to hearing from you with a suitable date for the test to be carried out.

                      Incremental Hike in Mahanagar Gas Bill

                      We received bill amount as 2877 INR which is 4 times our average bill amount of 700+ INR. We have paid our all bill on-time, then how come i am getting such inflated bills. Please check at your end as provide me actual bill amount.

                      Wrong Gas consumption charges calculation is done.
                      Slab I charges oct'20 is Rs.25.46x 41= Rs.1043.86 but charged Rs. 1070.32 ?? Extra charged Rs. 26.46+13.5% VAT.
                      I am made the full payment Rs.1214/- as per your bill
                      Pl check & refund the excess charged in next bill.

                      Consumption billed 41 SCM. as per meter photo it me correct but it is almost double than my Average of 23/24 SCM in last couple of month.
                      This also requires looking in to fault in meter.

                        My average gas bill amount at around two months rs. 600 house over last 10 years. but now all of sudden i am receiving bills with excessive meter reading & unacceptable bill amounts of Rs. 2500- per months.(rs 4800 for two months)

                        This is absolutely wrong & not acceptable at all.

                        Please take / initiate strong action against this.

                              Double billing for the month of July' 2020. 1st Bill issued on 05/07/2020 Bill No.[protected] with amount 1066/- and again 2nd Bill issue on 10/07/2020 Bill No.[protected] with amount 2455/- with the arrears (Unpaid Due upto Previous Bill amount 1066/-) however last bill paid on 21/07/2020 Transaction ID no. 1864312 amount 1066/- .

                              I had logged an online complaint on 16 Jul' 2020 and reminder on 26 Jul' 2020 and called to customer care several times but even after 3 month i have not received a Docket no as well as any solution update on the same.

                                Im Saadhy i was (rented) tenant at the place of Dahisar west (New Saraswati River view CHS.) for 6 months and ive shifted from there at badlapur in the month of May 2020.

                                Due to we paid every payment previously via PhonePe; we till received notification and hence mistakenly we paid Bill no. [protected] of Amount 388/- dated 26 Oct 2020.

                                Request you to help me with refund this payment on my same account.

                                  Mahangar Gas bill generated for October 2020 is so high and shocking

                                  If you see my history over years, our bill has always been in the range of Rs. 800 - 900 every 2 months. Also, last actual reading done in Feb 2020 proves this fact. Due to corona times, there was an assessed bill generated every bill cycle and we have paid the last bill in August of Rs. 829.

                                  Now, in October the person came to take actual reading and bill generated shows exceptionally high amount payable.

                                  As a customer, I strongly object to the bill geenrated for my BP ID and it is 100% an incorrect bill to which I need resolution on an immediate basis.

                                  PLEASE RESPOND TO MY CONCERN ASAP and rectify and reverse the incorrectly charged units ASAP.
                                  I have been your loyal customer regularly paying all your bills without any problems faced till date but this time, it's truly a VERY BIG ERROR from your end and hence not acceptable to me and I STRONGLY object to pay this incorrect bill.

                                    I have received 2546 as my October month gas bill. I am being charged 80 units directly to this month instead of dividing it in 8 months and due to that my slab rates have changed. I am being charged almost 900₹ more because of the difference in slab rates. I have duly paid bills during the lockdown. The meter reading was taken after 8’months so the extra units consumed than the bills charged on assumption for 8 months should also be divided by 8 months and not charged to one month alone. This is absolutely ridiculous to charge the customer higher slab rates because we were in lockdown. Paying 900₹ more because of higher slab rates is totally exploiting us as consumers. Please look into this matter asap. There may be many consumers facing this. It is absolutely wrong to charge us higher slab rates as the units are accumulated over a period of 8 months and not just one month.
