My name is vaibhav valvi from Nandurbar, Maharashtra. I was riding a bike on 15th Dec 2023. Mr. Pawan Dhangar stopped me because I was riding without helmet(I agree, I didn't follow traffic rule and ready to pay fine ₹500). He asked me for driving licence. I said, I do have a driving license and i was about to show but due to some network problem I couldn't open DigiLocker. He didn't even wait for a while, Within a seconds he issued a challan of ₹1000(₹500 for headgear, ₹500 for No DL). And said, visit RTO office and show your DL and get ₹500 deduction. I did as he said but the officer in RTO office said there is no such rule to cancel the challan or deduct the amount. You will have to pay full amount Mentioned in the challan. Come again on Monday(18th Dec 2023) our seniors will help you. When I went again they said we can't do anything you have to pay full amount..
Is this really a professional behavior?
Is it right to issue a challan even if I have a Driving License?
Is wearing a helmet while riding a bike mandatory only for the common man? And not for the policeman? (I have seen many traffic and police officers riding bike without helmet). I have raised an online complaint on echallan parivahan but the ticket status is still pending. Challan no. Is MH[protected]

Yesterday 9th Dec. 2023 i was travelling from Sambhajinagar to Pune when reached at Kamgar Chowk at Signal i was behind another Car when Green Light was ON i just crossed zebra crossing and seen a Traffic Police came just in front of my Car and he looked at the Traffic signal light which turned yellow and asked me to take car aside of the road. Please note traffic signal was not turned red even after he asked me to take car on side of the road. He then directly told me that i am sending online challan and pay that, i asked him light was not even turned red it was Green when i crossed zebra and was yellow when you stopped then he argued that you should not cross when it's yellow, i even asked him i had crossed zebra then should i stop in between road ?? He did not listen any of my explanation and took photos and given online challan. Kindly take necessary actions, if you do have CCTV cameras you can check that too for reference.

I just received the Challan number TNCCM[protected]- police manual signal violation .

I don’t know what is the meaning for this challan . I did not violate any manual signal.

So far I know that I went for hair cutting and parked my bike next to the shop wherein 20 plus bikes and cars were parked. And that place is not on the road hence no disturbance to traffic at all.

Kindly recheck the challan and cancel it as it seems improper challan issued by traffic police

This incident has happened today only on 9 September 2023 around 11.50am.

The said E-challan has been issued stating causing danger/ obstruction/ undue inconvenience to other users (Sec 122/177 MVA) by allowing the vehicle to be abandoned or to remain at rest on any public place and Towing my car. The said challan is falsely issued to me to charge penalty for unknown reasons. The area does not have no parking boards -and it is located at a corner wherein multiple cars are parked everyday and when i was fined that time also other cars were parked but the officer came and took pictures and towed only my car. It is unnecessary harassment and undue penalty to earn money for no reason. It is not correct on your part to do such acts just to get money from diligent and honest personnel.

Request you to kindly delete the said challan and take strict action against the officer for falsely issuing challan whereas there have been multiple cars. Hope truth prevails and not abuse power to people in order to earn penalty by way of challans for false accusations of danger/ inconvenience. Please help to resolve this at the earliest.

Not a single time this happen with me, the maharashtra traffic police should mark there chargeable area on public vegetable market in Alandi, Pune-412105. If all place is chargeable then the Maharashtra government should replace the market any other non chargeable area for public satisfaction purpose.

None of the the government have not much solution for giving his employees salary they choose these public areas for torcher there public who paid taxes regularly to their government.

Can any one tell the solution for the harassment bike parking on vegetable parking on our area.

Although i paid the challan yesterday evening itself, later i have noticed in the image that the challan is wrongly issued upon my car bearing regn no UK08AP-6677

from the image provided, it is evident that the speed gun was targetted at the suzuki ertiga car on my rear left side (in the image), whereas the speed gun captured my regn plate. This is clear violation of natural justice. My car was on the left slow lane and the car on my right was overtaking me, his speed was more than mine, and also speed gun was capturing ertiga image, but my license plate was captured and wrong challan issued.

I humbly request checking of data and refund of my payment which is receipted vide acknow no MAHRE[protected] dt. 09.Jul.2023 paid thru billdesk

                                  Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my deep concern and lodge a formal complaint regarding the behavior of a traffic police officer,
as well as the unjust and unethical act of towing my two-wheeler (MH 12 SG 8223) without any prior announcement or proper justification.
This incident occurred on 06 June 2023 at approximately 12:00 PM at Salunke Vihare Road Pune. The Towing Van number was MH-03 CD 1218.

On the aforementioned date, I was present at the specified location with 10 steps away from my two-wheeler. To my dismay, without any warning or notification,
the traffic police officer in question initiated the towing process of my vehicle. I immediately approached the officer,
expressing my surprise and inquiring about the reason behind this sudden action. She mentioned my vehicle was parked in 4 wheeler parking so I need to pay the fine.

Despite my pleas and attempts to reason with the officer, they displayed an alarming lack of professionalism and failed to provide me with any satisfactory explanation when
I asked about the announcement mentioning my vechicle number before towing my two wheeler.
It is important to note that I was present with my vehicle before the process of towing my vehicle. They didn't put the belt on to when I reached the bike.

After the argument of 10-15 minutes they insisted that they just need to capture a photograph as my vechicle was on 4 wheeler parking area. So I agreed to them for taking the picture of my bike.
But surprisingly as soon as they strapped my bike they loaded it on the towing van and then asked for the fine.
Even after so many request they denied unloading of my two wheeler without paying the fine of Rs 785.56. I recieved the message of the fine paid but I didn't got the reciept.

I strongly believe that the behavior exhibited by the traffic police officer was unethical and violated the principles of fairness, transparency,
and accountability. Their failure to adhere to standard procedures, such as issuing a warning or explanation prior to towing, is not only a breach of trust but also a
violation of my rights as a law-abiding citizen.

I request a thorough investigation into this matter and urge appropriate disciplinary action against the officer involved.
Additionally, I demand immediate restitution for the inconvenience caused.

I have attached the photograph as a proof of my presence at the time of the incident.
I kindly request that you consider this complaint seriously and take swift action to rectify the unjust actions of the traffic police officer.

I trust that your esteemed department will conduct a fair and unbiased investigation into this matter, and justice will be served.
I look forward to receiving a prompt response regarding the actions taken to address this issue.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

                                  Yours sincerely,

                                    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to register a formal complaint against the unjust imposition of an e-challan and the unprofessional behavior exhibited by a traffic policeman on the date of 27th May 2023. The incident occurred at Wakad Chowk during my commute for a job interview. I strongly believe that my rights as a law-abiding citizen were violated, and I seek appropriate action to rectify this matter.

On the aforementioned date, I encountered heavy traffic at Wakad Chowk, which is a well-known congested area. It has been observed that in such situations, the traffic police have allowed vehicles, including two-wheelers and four-wheelers, to pass through the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) route. Being aware of this practice, I decided to take the BRT route to reach my destination in a timely manner.

However, to my surprise, I was intercepted by a traffic policeman at a traffic signal along the BRT route. He captured my picture and promptly demanded my driving license. Complying with his request, I handed over my license, seeking clarification regarding the offense I had committed. I respectfully pointed out that, in similar circumstances in the past, vehicles were permitted to utilize the BRT route, which made me assume it was permissible on that particular day as well.

Regrettably, the traffic policeman's behavior was extremely rude, and he refused to listen to my explanation. In a dismissive and disrespectful tone, he said in Marathi, "Kiti bharta, kitichi karu" (How much can you pay, how much shouldI charge you?). Despite my attempts to reason with him, he disregarded my arguments entirely. After a brief interval, he raised his voice and threatened, "Jaa aata 500 chi pavti fadli ahe, debit card kadh" (Go now, I have issued a fine of 500 rupees, give me debit card). I informed him that I did not possess a debit card at the moment, but he displayed no willingness to listen and forced me to wait for an additional five minutes, causing further delay to my job interview.

Eventually, realizing that my time was running out, I reluctantly left the scene. Shortly thereafter, I received a text message notifying me of a 500 rupees e-challan on my mobile device. I consider this incident to be highly unfortunate and utterly unacceptable, both in terms of the unjust imposition of the e-challan and the disrespectful conduct of the traffic policeman involved.

Therefore, I kindly request the Pune RTO Police Department to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action. I humbly request the cancellation of the e-challan bearing the following reference number: #PMCCM[protected].

I trust in the competence and professionalism of the RTO Pune in addressing this matter promptly and ensuring justice is served. I hope that strict disciplinary action is taken against the traffic policeman responsible for his unprofessional behavior, which tarnishes the image of the police department.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to a swift resolution of my complaint.

                                    Yours faithfully,
                                    Shubham
