I had given my Tamron 70-300mm VC USD lens to Mata Electronics (SP Road, Bangalore) for fungus cleaning. Before the service, the lens was fully functional — autofocus, VC (Vibration Compensation), aperture control — everything worked perfectly.
After getting it back:
Autofocus and aperture control were still working.
But VC stopped working completely.
When I reached out to the service person on WhatsApp (Mr. Vijay / staff), I was treated rudely, gaslighted, and denied a receipt even after payment.
They refused to acknowledge my previous visit, despite me showing chat history.
They are clearly irresponsible, unprofessional, and dishonest.
There was no written estimate, no receipt for the service, and now the lens is functionally downgraded because of their mishandling.
I am submitting this complaint to warn other photographers and creators from falling into the same trap. They should be held accountable for breaking customer trust and damaging gear. Was this information helpful? |
