I would like to bring to your notice that on September 1, 2021, I was confirmed by Max Hair, Chennai, Nungambakkam, that I will be undergoing a Sapphire Transplant with 3000 grafts (see attached screenshot). I paid an amount of Rs. 75, 000 towards the surgery. Around September 15, 2021, I underwent the procedure.
Post-procedure, I had undergone a lot of pain and trauma to ensure that I follow post-procedure protocols. I even had to take many days leave from my office, which led to loss of pay.
Despite, following protocols, after one and a half years, I was not satisfied with the growth and coverage since still there were bald spots in the crown area. So, I went back to Max Hair for a review. During the review, after consulting with the lady doctor, it was concluded that the services provided to me was substandard since:
1. Decision of 3000 grafts was wrong - As confirmed by the lady doctor, 3000 grafts was very less for my baldness since I had baldness in the crown area and bilateral temples. As mentioned by the doctor, the bald area in my crown is a big area and 3000 is just sufficient to cover my crown area only. Why was 3000 grafts chosen when it was clearly mentioned to the concerned person that I wanted my crown area and the temples to be covered??????
2. IGM was performed instead of Sapphire - As confirmed by the lady doctor, IGM was performed instead of Sapphire. This is totally breach of agreement, as per your confirmation, Sapphire was supposed to be performed. I felt cheated.
3. Non-technical staffs involved in critical decision making - The person who decided on 3000 grafts are per Max Hair record is an administrative staff. Why should administrative person take decision on the number of grafts to be implanted? What expertise does this person have? Why is the concerned doctor not involved in the decision making? Please be noted if the doctor was involved from the very first consultation itself, then such a grave mistake of selecting lesser number of grafts would not have been made. As a matter of fact, I met the doctor only after the procedure.
4. Wrong promises being made - Since December of 2021, I have been following up with Max Hair in regards to the outcome of the surgery, constantly informing them that I am unhappy with the results, but they kept promising me that the hair will grow after few months, which was wrong information provided.
5. Not satisfied with the result - Due to the above, I am extremely disappointed with the desired output.
6. Being made to wait - Even recently, when I followed up in regards to the above, I was informed by the lady doctor that the management is looking into it and again she told me she will get back to me in one week, and when I followed up with her in a week, she told me that the management is still looking into it and she is unsure as to how long will it take for the management to take a decision.
I am attaching the proof for your review. I am extremely anguised, disappointed with the outcome of the services provided by Max Hair. If any other proofs are required, I am willing to furnish it.
I will be going ahead and filing a lawsuit against the above company due to the above.
